I think what you did is such a good way to learn more about carding. I tend to paint on a braid when I want a more fluffy prep but also blend the colors just a bit. If I’m going for a blend of different fibers I put them through the licker in(small drum), and yes the big drum is called the swift.🥰

@@deejcarter2003 so interesting, thanks for sharing! When you paint the braid on the swift do you break off sections or do it as one long continuous piece?
