"Did they even beta test this game?" - No, that's the problem. They were forced to rush this game and had their remaining time left cut in 1/2 due to higher ups wanting it out for the holiday season. As a result there are VARIOUS bugs throughout the game, of which some can result in soft locks with the bosses where you cannot end the fight even if they are dead, or deleted. (Yes there is a difference, deleted means they outright still have health but they just vanish from the boss room.)

That glitch She was terrified of Is if you defeat a boss with certain weapons while in mid air, you can potentially soft lock the game. Imagine being that close and Lossing to something like that.

Yeah, for some reason, Gamechamp's patreon backers are particularly unhinged. It seems like we're probably getting Rockman 4 from you next week. After that, I personally recommend "Can you Beat Breath of the Wild Without Pausing," which is a very different set of videos compared to Rockman. Trust me, it's a lot more interesting than it sounds. However, due to the sheer length of Breath of the Wild, not only is the video a two-parter (each part covering a different aspect of the challenge rather than leaving you on a Cliff Hanger in the first one), it's more of a "greatest hits" collection of what goes into the challenge rather than a room by room analysis of almost everything that happens in the entire run like in Rockman. Or if you want something silly, "Can you beat Gun Without Firing Your Gun" is a challenge that exists pretty much purely because the title of the game is Gun.

5:50 .Yeah...Gemini Man's stage is one of the weirder stages in the entire franchise. It starts off with you trying to infiltrate some kind of stronghold made out of crystal, but when you get inside, you find robot dragonflies, fish, and even eggs that spawn tadpoles. Clearly, Capcom smoked too much of the Weed that Top Man was hiding in his stage (13:03)

Since you asked, games can potentially have as many final bosses as they want potentially. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (which is a sequel to IV starring Cecil’s son Ceodore) has 34 bosses just in its final dungeon alone. Only 3 of them being optional.

Fun fact:In the Rockman/Megaman series E-tanks can be used to fully restore your health...so they're 100% essential for these Rockman/Megaman no hit challenges.

Funny you should ask if the game was beta tested. I don't know. The game went through a rough development and I think was rushed near the end. Keiji Inafune (the guy who is most known for this series) says it's one of his least favorites because of that.

Technically, there's a snake zodiac In Ophiuchus ⛎. But Gemini man is the only Zodiac themed boss for this game. The StarForce MegaMan series mostly focuses on zodiac themed foes, especially for the first game.

If you are curious about playing a (classic) Megaman game, I have two suggests. 1) Megaman 11. It's latest in the series and if probably the most beginner friendly because of the Speed gear (allows you to slow down time at will). 2) Megaman Maker. It s fan-make project that similar to Mario Maker. It has 4 playable characters, almost 100 weapons/power-up, with the all stage functions, the community has been about to do some crazy stuff, make creating a whole Metroidvania game.

Also for reference, Megaman 3 was a rush job to cash in on Christmas. It runs badly (you can see the slowdown in a lot of the videos) and the design of stages was basic. And of course, the stage re-use.

since you keep mentioning health, as a little detail, most bosses have the same health, the buster deals 1 damage per shot always (with some exceptions) but the times you said "less health" is just the specific weapons being used being the weakness (some weaknesses being more effective than others)

Regarding the question of if this game was beta tested for Megaman 2 & 3 at least both were rushed to release so they didn't have time to make sure everything worked 100% properly, only enough time to make sure the games and basic stuff were functional, hence the bugs. As for why more people haven't reacted to her who knows? Her videos are entertaining to watch, but maybe it's because she doesn't do exclusively one series like Pokemon but a variety. As for other reactions I'd recommend Pikasprey. While he's mostly known for his Soft Lock Picking series (finding ways to get in and out of softlock situations in games (mostly Pokemon)) he's also done videos on things such as Megaman (first impressions) and Casltevania as well as Pokemon challenge runs (most famously Ditto only runs of gens 1-2). You might enjoy them.

Yeah, Rockman 3 is no joke. However I usually start with either Magnet Man or Hard Man who is ironically rather easy. Also I call those Hammer Joes, not Snake Joes. I save Gemini Man and Needle Man for right so I can have Rush Marine which makes Gemini Man's stage much easier. As for the Top Man issue there IS a solution. The Rush Bullet Glitch: How this works is as follows. You fire two bullets while Rush is on screen and a Rush form is the only ones this works with as all other boss weapons will not let you change while their bullets are on screen. When you change to Top Spin while Rush Bullets are on screen the Rush Bullets stay ON SCREEN and TAKE ON the attribute of the weapon you change to. That means you get two bullets that deal Top Spin damage to Shadow Man without having to get hit to inflict it. This is something in the original version of the game so this counts as a viable trick. This works with other harder to direct weapons as well and this trick with Top Spin works on the Copy Robots later on as well. It also works if that weapon has NO weapon energy so it can be VERY broken.

6:40 Actually, no, Sonic didn't even exist yet when this game came out. Mega Man 3 came out in 1990, and the first Sonic game didn't exist until 1991.

Yeah this game is rather infamous for its lack of beta testing, hence why the level designers basically just gave up in the Wily Castle stages lmao Incredibly easy bosses and item pickups out the wazoo. A nice reward for beating all 8 Doc Robots. The Doc Robots (AKA Skull Robots renamed due to a mistranslated pun) are especially infamous for their difficulty. First, take the 8 Robot Masters from Mega Man 2. Next, remove any exploits they had in the previous game. Now add in an entirely new weakness table and give them a much bigger hitbox. The latter point is what turns Wood Man from one of the easiest bosses in the game into one of the hardest, as it makes his Leaf Shield bigger and makes you more susceptible to getting hit if you try to jump over him.

Just as a quick note... ...ok...not so quick, I tend to go on and on and I know that... Top Spin gets a bad rap for it's "throw yourself at the enemy to hurt them and you at the same time" thing. It's not UNtrue...but... "Top Spin won't get you hurt if it one hit kills the thing you hit with it" The ONLY enemies in the game it does NOT "one hit kill" are the bosses. (The exception is Gamma/Wily, as it's technically doing a bazillion tiny hits very quickly, you can tell by the way the Boss' health bar drains instead of JUST vanishing.) Any regular enemies that Top Spin doesn't immediately kill, are just flat out immune to it. And technically, it IS possible to damage a boss without taking the hit yourself...but you have to like...just barely tap the bosses hitbox with the little "action swooshes" around you while you're spinning...but it's so difficult to hit that very precisce hitbox area on you without getting your own hitbox involved, especially with a target that moves like Shadow Man, I just know it's possible. Long story short: Top Spin one shots everything that isn't entirely immune to it, except most Bosses, and even then you CAN avoid taking damage but it's very precise about it.

wood man is easy with the fist (hard knuckle) it should damage him even when his shield is up & it is not the only weapon that will always damage him on any hit regardless of shield. So I am shocked he took longer buy just using the jet.

I am shocked that he did not take out magnet man sooner. Having his weapon is so useful because it will make a 90 degree turn to hit almost any enemy but just shooting over or under them. For alot of boss fights you just need to fire over or under the boss & it will seek up or down to hit the boss.

Funny thing about beta testing this game. This game had probably the most troubled development history, with only being allowed to work on it between projects, loosing a MASSIVE chunk of data due to a cable being unplugged, and short deadline.
