I used to bowl candlepins (a game in New England and Nova Scotia) and drifting into the next guy's lane would be a serious no-no. Looks like it's different in tenpin. I know some righties have to go way left at the start if the ball return isn't in the way, especially when shooting 10 pins, but that's different.

The first alley I bowled at had ball returns above the level of the lanes. No way anyone could have lofted the left gutter cap on an even numbered lane.

This is a professional tournament where it's 2 lane courtesy. Running out your shots like this is frowned upon in typical league bowling really, but here you're not getting in someone's way.

What was it like the first time you bowled on a pair with your flag above it?

With all of the corner pins being left, would a good move be to move back a little bit on the approach to get the ball to pick up sooner? Like to put it on the lane earlier? Just curious

Moving back would increase speed. Actually you would move forward a tiny bit to slow your feet and ultimately your ball speed

When your leg kicks up are imagining kicking the person behind you in the nads? I never noticed you kicking up that high.

Was it just me or were there some strange-looking racks? Fractions off-spottish kinda stuff? Created weird carry points: Thin / stuff = X ; "Pocket" = ringing 10 unless steeper entry. Hmm... Ringing 7 I meant; our side.>
