I used my robot points only once, I got omnibot Camshaft. One of my favorites, I lost my original but found a complete one at a toy show in Phoenix a couple of years ago

100% the best part of old movie side characters is that if you get super attached to them as a kid (or an adult!) you can pretend they were in the film since most of their alt modes appear somewhere in the films. Most of the b-cast of the 07 film was just vehicles from the movie turned into robots. I've been collecting old movie toys lately, and after this vid i'll have to see if I can track down a seaspray in the near future.

Yes to all of this!! I’ve been collecting from the films lately as well with a renewed appreciation for a lot of the redesigns. Sea Spray is a really solid figure!

@@Flashback_Funhouse If you manage to track a complete one down for a reasonable price I honestly recommend the 2009 mixmaster figure. He's become one of my favorite movie figures OAT, do be warned his turret mode doesnt exactly have any locking points if you do decide to pick him up.

I just checked him out. He looks really cool and I think I remember him. I have the studio series on my desk and I actually quite like it, but the deco on the 2009 is awesome. Love the paint job and giant logo!

G1 Seaspray might not float, but along with G1 Cosmos and Bee, he forms part of the triumvirate of Ultimate Autobot Cuteness. And that's worth something, darn it.

I have all G2 sealed. I got seaspray on clearance for KB toys had sales 2 for $5. I bought all 4 mini cars sealed & loose. I waited til clearance to buy my sealed stuff. Also yes I did do the Mail in once. I never, ever could find wheeljack in stores. I had most of the 84 cars, Except, Mirage, Sunstreaker, Hound & Wheeljack. I had Xmas money & my sister broke my Ratchet. So I ordered. A brand new Ratchet, Bought a wheeljack, $8 each at the time. I got the set of 3 mini cars, War path, cosmos & cliffjumer. WHich was really the Hubcap toy repurposed as cliffjumper. Wheel jack was a good one. I wish I had enough just for one more back then. Thundercracker was still too much $10 I only had starscream & Thurst as a kid. & Soundwave & megatron. I had all 84 cons except for skywarp & Thundercracker.I got a sky warp complete . in 1990 for $1. the year after wards I got a complete Ramjet with box & paper work for $3. I paid $4 for 2 jets back then & ones still in my collection.. Those were so much better days.

That sounds like a fantastic collection! Especially the G2 stuf! I only recently started looking back at G2 and there were some crazy but really cool figures. I'm planning a video soon to discuss G2 and focus on the combat heroes and Prime and Megatron variations. They're insane!!

I think you missed a step on transforming the feet. I think the back part flips down, adding stability to the robot mode. Maybe I’m crazy?

No you’re not. You can do that but I found it kind of pointless. And then I checked the back of the box and they don’t have him with his feet like that either. Nothing new for Hasbro to be a bit confusing about the process, but you can do it either way for sure.

I had to get him back then because he was one of my first minibots back in the 80’s. He is one of my favorites from that line. Great review on him. They remade the scout class figure in to brawl which o reviewed back in 2012 when I was still doing transformer reviews before I switched up my channel and which was before I stopped posting almost a year ago. 😅

I had the first release of that mold, which means he didn't have those guns, but otherwise I still have it in a box in my closet (not the original box). If memory serves it was first released back around 00 or late 90s. I know it came out before the movies ever appeared...

Robot points were only redeemable for the first few years of the line after that they became worthless, very similar to war head points where the first few years you could actually send them in for wally warhead but after the first few years just decoration or more likely to unbothered to change the packaging. I think GI Joe did something similar. Episode 1 Star wars toys too

The only time I ever did this was in the 80s with Star Wars. I sent points away to get an Emperor figure and the wait was excruciating. Took maybe two months.
