this travel acoustic guitar is insane

I wasn't planning on posting this up here but this guitar is pretty cute and I figured you guys might dig it. I had originally filmed this little video when I first got it for Furch to use on social media after they sent me this guitar, and a full-sized all rosewood guitar you might have seen in previous videos. This model is called the 'Little Jane'. It's an all Mahogany travel guitar that packs up into a little backpack after you fully collapse the neck and detach the headstock. Kinda nuts. I really like it.

Surely that can't be good for the neck or strings, but putting it together and it being perfectly in tune was insane

This guitar has literally been around since the 2010s, it is perfectly fine and really well built :) best actual travel guitar and one of Furch's best sellers

They've had this model out for a while and it's held up. I've only had mine for a few weeks but so far, A+.

it's not perfectly in tune, mind that right after he locks the neck and plays the open strings, the video cuts. he probably tuned between the cuts.

It's a really sweet design and a great solution for having a compact guitar on the go when you travel. It's pretty clear tho that a lot of the sound and volume is lost due to the detachable neck.

Ehmm do you know how acoustic guitars work? The neck does not influence the sound of an acoustic guitar whatsoever (electric guitars yes, acoustic no), it is literally a small portable guitar which is why it has less volume than a regular one

@@benja1378 I actually do know how does acoustic guitars work, and that’s why I know that such a detachable neck has great impact on the sound. When the joint of the neck and the guitar body is not fixed and glued in place, some of the sound waves get lost and does not travel back and forth alone the instrument efficiently, which hurts the resonance of the guitar. Even if you don’t know the physics of how the sound waves “travel” along the guitar body and projected, you can hear it.

I use the little jane allmost daily, and the sound is very nice, perfect for fingerpicking. They have different models but for me the original sounded best. Its the guitar thats allways with me, the travelbag it sits in, is very usefull
