I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

What this does not go over is the how they handled zoning. In many jurisdictions your city and/or county would not allow an individual to rent out these type of structures easily. Primarily this is because certain lots have restrictions. So they either A. lived in a lot that allowed multiple units to be built or B applied for an exemption. or C, never disclosed them as future rentals.
@newagemeditationmantrasand7860
@newagemeditationmantrasand7860 Жыл бұрын
I personally think they never disclosed their future rentals to the city. Because zoning is a nightmare. They said in the beginning that they bought the house for themselves on a large plot of land. The odds of them living in a suburban neighborhood that allows multiple units to be built on their land is low. And now that I think of it - when you build anything you need permits as well. Based on their construction prices - they never hired a licensed contractor. So, through ingenuity they have a nice income stream until the city discovers them and starts fining them for multiple permit violations and zoning violations.
@kateeco3850
@kateeco3850 Жыл бұрын
Yeah… the first thing I thought was - permits and zoning 😅 to build a tiny house within a month, sounds impossible to me… we are doing rehabs and permits are the nightmares.. and to find good licensed contractors in this market is even harder 😬

They also never discussed any of the backend stuff, like plumbing, electrical, etc. All of these would either need septic systems (they look more rural based - not in the city, so no easy access to city sewer hookups, and they would have to have a huge septic system on site if they are all feeding into one if they are all being used at 100% occupancy. They said the one cost them $16,000, even DIY that doesn't even seem possible once you factor in those kind of costs.

700000$/year means that the house is very expensive to rent on airbnb and rented all the time. Would you pay 15000$/week to rent that house?? 🤔 Edit: they rent for 331$/night, even if they rent all the time they only make 120000$/year not 700000$, something is not adding up.

I'm happy for them, but it's such a misleading video. Get the actual facts straight and realistic in order to properly state actual cost. The shed shown is grossly underpriced, a 10x10 kit made on 2x3 lumber is $1700! So a a 'livable' 16x16 2 story barn is not $1500, it's missing a zero because that is going to cost $15k at least not to mention the furnishing and connections, $20-25K is more realistic!

I wonder if the people around them who called them crazy for letting strangers in their home took a page out of their book and made something similar. Or is it a case of, “you either win with us or watch us win”? People are interesting 😊😂. Not a lot of motivation/encouragement but there’s a lot of congrats afterwards.

This is so innovative, creative and unique. Thanks for sharing, I have learnt that when I want to start Airb n b business I need to put in a lot of effort. Put together unique pieces that will make the experience memorable. It doesn’t have to feel like they are used to it- it has to be a new experience. I liked the bus tree house! It would bring in so much memories that on this day I spent a night at a very unique bus tree house airb n b

There’s no way this tree house earns 700k a year for everyone who builds one, it’s in a swanky neighborhood where all the properties are nice and well kept so the ppl who own this one earn 700k a year however if they don’t invest the $$$ they earn in return properly guess what happens ? They lose the house they live in and their fancy little side act earning them “extra” cash. When ppl start living outside their means they lose everything!

In order to make '700k' a year you'd have to make about 2000k a day on renting this property. That means they're renting it for 14000k a week and are able to book it every week.... What idiot has the money pays for that? Oh wait they have SEVEN rental properties on their land?! Thats still 2000k per week for each unit. Usually that's a monthly rate. Nope I think this is absolutely a lie. Real estate investors should be banished from the market. They're keeping hard working families out of housing just so they can insist we need to pay THEM instead...at rates which make absolutely no sense but they get away with due to lack of housing. Think about it if these folks have FOUR times the wealth of a normal family, normal families are never going to make a bid that's going to be successful. Nobody is paying for these houses but the working class folks. These wealthy don't pay for them. They don't even HAVE money. ITs sunk into a devalued asset they're going to lose everything shortly. Therefore down with multiple property owners. Up with families. Lets limit the risk on the economy and our banks by limiting the risk and denying these people multiple loans and properties. I'm a homeless wealthy person living on the charity of a relative (a borrowed room in someone else's house) because I refuse to participate in this nonesense. Its kept me alive for FIVE years working small contracts in underemployment in Canada...because that's all that's offered to us. I should own my own housing, have a full time job but they've sold us out to this nonsense. People aren't creating businesses with jobs that support working class folks. They're stripping the working class instead. ITs destroying North America. We have less jobs, less willing and able renters, and more landlords with empty units. At the increasing rates of illegal migration for folks expecting work and housing they're dumping migrants, seniors, and working class on the streets so all the wealthy can own pretty, empty, worthless houses. Look at the United States and the rising amounts of homeless. People aren't interested or able to rent at these rates. You folks are making a HUGE mistake supporting them.

"The more important half!" And they can't understand the Passport Bros. If my woman announced something like that publicly I would be quietly looking for the exits. This is not a joke, and not said in jest, especially not to published media, not even said in poor taste. The ONLY time such a line might be acceptable is in private like an obvious complete joke between a couple because the man is clearly doing all the heavy lifting.

The title of this video is misleading. One tree house doesn’t make them 700k. The total collection of their treehouses makes them 700k. It’s a good video, but, don’t mislead the viewer. Thanks.

In no way could one house make 700000 a year. It means it made ~2000 a day every day without a break. In no world are they making more then 100000 a year on a house per year and that's generous. I think the average for a rental in Atlanta is around 25k before taxes.
