Nice I spent a large part of my career in a Freightliner dealership and seeing the beautiful specimen of a truck takes me back. Then the hood open to the holy grale engine. That is just my opinion for all the haters out there. Quick story right around 98 a customer had an electric blanket in the bunk and it caught fire. Being that they are a solid tight truck the fire went out but the bunk burnt bad then of course the smoke damage. The customer actually scrapped the inside of the windows and drove it to the dealership because in the past his neighbors were so against it in his driveway and that would have given them alot of ammunition. Needless to say it was a mess but believe it or not the insurance company fixed it because the damage was not as much then writing it off. Mind you you by the time it was said and done it was way over. So I was the lucky guy who got the job. What a mess. I stripped the interior completely out and I mean completely. Pressure washed for days to no avail so we painted the inside and it was definitely better but not totally gone. Side note I came close to a divorce by smelling like smoke for weeks. When it was all said and done it was right around 60k. The owner drove it for a month or so but just couldn't handle the smell. He traded it in and the dealership sent it to auction. I don't know what it got or where it went. If anyone is driving around in a late 90's blue raised Freightliner it may have been that truck 😂. Sorry for the book long comment but I thought it was kinda funny and the smell thing brought it together. I had to stop and do this and I'm only a couple minutes into the video.
