It allows for a 2D drawing to be transformed into a 3D puppet. This isn't very impressive for 3D animation, the puppets don't work well in 3D space, but it opens the doors for extremely easy 2D animation. It's very user-friendly too, especially compared to other animation platforms people have started their animation careers on like Flash. Let me put it this way. Imagine you have a kid who is interested in making animations. Sit them down in front of this and they can figure out how to play with the puppet to make it move. Sit them down in front of Adobe Flash and they'll be lucky if they can figure out anything. Anyone can use software like this to make unique animations easily.

I get it, you want to have fun, but take your responsibilities seriously. I imagine you guys have not worked a day in your life, or lived on your own. Probably not even close. I'm not here to bash you or bring you down, or whatever, but I'm only trying to show you that taking your future seriously and not putting things off, is the only way to go about life. Your future is like a tree. It has to be planted 20 years ago to be a tree today, right? Enjoy and have fun, because childhood doesn't last forever, but plan for your future because no one else will. No one else cares if you make it. Believe me, I am well into my adult years. I only regret wasting too much time instead of planning for my future. This is the only wisdom I can give you. You can take it or leave it. It's in your hands now. (Don't drop it lol)

@@razrekt2568 he is wrong hes writing stuff guaranteed to get likes even if it's not true for you sheeps to like without thinking making a good 3d model is very hard, you cant make and rig very detailed animations cuz this is just morphing, animating is very limited u cant animate a lot of things with that because it depends on morphing you cant animate anything which totally changes the shape of the object, the list is very very long these are few from the top of my head I believe this wont be changing anything anytime soon The only thing this can be used for is quickly getting you're initial shape and transferring it to you're 3d software of choice

This has been around since the 80ies. In computer graphics and game development we call it Free-form deformation. It's a way to deform sprites or other images/models based on control points, usually along a spline or other type of curvature. This tech is ancient in the computer world, but it's very neat to see an artist just discovering it for the first time.

@calli.catastrophe
@calli.catastrophe 3 жыл бұрын
I actually commented a possible short when thinking about the possibilities of the program....i'll paste my comment below. I hope you like this idea: i kinda almost wonder if this could be used in presentations for things such as engines, like all the moving parts. For example pistons, crank shaft, cam shaft, pulleys, gears and belts, or if maybe you could say....create a scene where a man and a woman are driving in a car, it starts very cartoonishly coughing and bouncing (like in old merrie melodies films) and sputters to a stop, the man walks over to open the hood and the engine jumps out and bounces out of sight (exit stage right). I think at the very least it would be AT LEAST mildly amusing to outrageously hilarious to see the outcome in such an unrefined program. No doubt it would be wonky, but I think that kind of lends to the beauty of it. Anyway, I'm sure whatever everyone comes up with, or what you come up with Jazza, will be fantastic. Happy drawing!

They're probably thinking of QWOP. That's the name of a computer game where different parts of the characters legs are mapped to the keys q, w, o, and p. You have to figure out how to press the buttons in rhythm to run correctly, usually resulting in absurd movements that don't really resemble running at all.

good video Sorry if the grammar in my comment above isn't the best, since I live in Europe, it's difficult for me to speak other languaged than my native one. I am so sorry that I'm not english-speaking and my brain couldn't develop a better solution to execute the form of my comment. I will try to fix this issue as soon as possible, since this is a huge shame concidering that I came here to compliment your video and I couldn't even do that respectfully. I want you to pardon me, and let's hope I won't make similar errors in the future. I am hoping that my english can improve in the future, and I will try to remake this comment when I'm done. The video that I saw above really inspired me and I just want to thank you for making it. It changed my life for the better, and I can't thank you enough for being this kind. I am actually sorry for the sins I made before. I hope it's not a problem for you.

I only just found out about this website very recently since ZBrush put out its new update that includes a feature which "inflates by mask," allowing users to draw with the lasso tool and pretty much do the same thing as in the browser, creating mesh balloons. Apparently this website was used quite often for quickly blocking out to then import into ZBrush!

It has great potential but clearly requires more refinement. Such as (but not limited too) 1) adjusting areas to inflate more or less to 'sculpt' the for better 2) adding rigid internal 'skeletal structures' 3) having a timeline and pacing abilities 4) abilities to adjust colours and textures after the initial model is inflated 5) more individual animatable elements (such as eye blink, etc).
