Replace with: - V0 --> Artifacts e2b (free 01- preview and many LLM) - Cursor --> Cursor + Aider - Replit --> ❌ Not essential - Firebase --> Supabase (Cheaper, better & Open source)

Fuck yea bro use the tools that work for you. I’m sharing the tools that work for me. Supabase has been a NIGHTMARE later in project development and is so annoying as a non-dev despite the table feature which I like.

Great video, Riley. My e-commerce business is eleven years old and I am itching to get out. I’ve been doing some market research on an app I would like to develop and your videos are so helpful! Thank you! It’s such an exciting time! I feel like I’m riding the same wave I did eleven years ago with my D2C brand and it’s exhilarating. The only thing is I don’t want to be the face of my business. I did that last time and I’m curious if I can get away with not doing it this time.

Here's an idea for an end-to-end video that you are uniquely positioned to create. Go from concept to the first $5,000 with all the steps between. Edit it down to a 30-minute how-to, and call it something like, "How to Create a No-code App and Make Your First $5,000"

Yes I will. I can’t describe to you how much I’ve learned over the past 2 weeks building our first tool. We are using React Native and releasing yapthread.com on all platforms. We are closely documenting all steps and coming up with the best method to do this so we can make a detailed video tutorial. Right now is learning season. Videos on the full process coming soon.

Great as always Riley. The only issue with firebase for me is that it is not a relational database! I don’t like it for that reason.
@faturismee3 ай бұрын
wdym by relational database? and what's your thought about supabase over firebase?
@rileybrownai3 ай бұрын
We’re building an app and we started it in Supabase and we had to strip it out because it made it way too complicated. As a beginner I would avoid.

Riley, you inspired me to write an awesome AI application using Replit - but now I am curious how I might move the backend off of Replit and into firebase. I would also love to show you what I am working on so I can shoot you a direct message.

Riley, I will share more about this in your community but: I want to pitch you the idea to make an apple vision pro app. The caveat: you need a mac to program. Can you imagine being the first on youtube who makes a video on coding an apple vision pro app? If you prepare this video well, I would bet it gets 50k+ views. I am building one and would love for you to do some pioneering work for that AND grow your channel doing something that nobody else is.

Is all this possible with no technical background? I have been into AI since ChatGPT dropped, but a lot of the programmer type technical stuff goes over my head. I have no technical background whatsoever and I really want to get into this.

@@rileybrownai Thanks for the reply. I don't have any idea what to build or anything. I'm not looking to get rich quick either. I'm sure it will take some time. It's just before I even look at tutorials, I wonder should I even bother if it's for people with at least some technical knowledge.

Of course all of this and you will be replaced by AI. Sadly, you'll still have no idea how to debug a line of code.
@tigreytigrey85373 ай бұрын
Lol you won't HAVE TO doofus. There will be AI to debug FOR YOU. We don't have to debug our calculators do we? EVEN if we HAD TO. You just hire some Indian on fiver for 5 bux and they'll do it FOR YOU.
@daverobey33783 ай бұрын
'Learn in Public'? LOL. We used to call that 'Fake it 'til you make it'! Nice idea, but you can't be in both camps and do a good job in each. You either have a creative brain or an analytical brain, In other words, creative or technical. If you try to be everything, you will be great at one and mediocre at best, at the other. I have over 25 years in IT as a technical analyst, switching to AI as we speak. But I don't have a creative bone in my body. Never created a KZbin video, never uploaded a TikTok or Instagram. I'm totally useless at creativity. But if your app breaks or breaks something else I can analyse the problem, chase down the code error and provide a solution. That's where the real skill in technical developers lies. Not only understanding and deploying the technology but also being able to fix it when something goes wrong. By all means, learn the right side of the board so you understand it but stay with your strengths and concentrate on what you are good at. Let the techies code and fix. The AI pie is going to be huge and collaboration between creatives and technical solution providers imo, will be the best chance of success for all.
