if i die and Jesus asks me that question. Can i take the sins and punishment my friends and family have? As he died on the cross for our sins, can i do the same?

Good question. I love that you are thinking about the well-being of your friends and family. Everyone has to take their own punishment for their sins unless they accept Jesus’s offer to take it for them. We cannot take the punishment for our friends and family because we have sinned ourselves and God required a perfectly sinless person, Jesus, to take the punishment for us. That’s why Jesus is referred to the lamb of God, a perfectly sinless and innocent being just like a baby goat, a lamb. Also God appointed Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, he didn’t appoint us. It was God’s plan and will to have Jesus sacrifice his life to forgive us of all our sins. We show our love and gratitude to Jesus by keeping God’s commandments and striving to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If I truly loved my neighbor as I loved myself I would share the message of the free gift of eternal life with them and save them from hell. Jesus described hell as weeping and gnashing of the teeth. Either he was lying or telling the truth. I have reason to believe he was telling the truth because God rose him from the dead and there were 500 witnesses who saw him at different times and different places, alive after his death. God would not have risen Jesus from the dead if he was lying. Our jobs are not to convince people though, it’s only to sow seeds in people’s minds and hearts by spreading the good news about Jesus’s gift and offer or eternal life (:

All good! Christianity at the core is being a follower of Christ’s teachings. People have used religion to do bad things so I don’t follow those people, only Jesus Christ alone and what he taught in the bible. What I describe as Christianity is putting 100% of our faith and trust in Jesus alone as our lord and savior, that he died on the cross to forgive us of our sins, that we need to repent (change our hearts and minds and turn away from our sinful past) and be born again in spirit, in order to enter heaven. Supporting verses: John 14:6, John 3:3, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Luke 13:1-5
