Same here, I hold shares of LSEG and there's no doubt in that they'll grow earnings in the future. However, it's pretty expensive when looking at earnings and still a hefty premium when looking at free cashflow. At a good price, I'd certainly be keen to buy more.

Can you explain how the FCF of 164 is actually bigger than the Profit for the year of 135 million? Doesn't make sense (D&A is a real expense if u're adding that back). Also you are paying 21 times FCF , which is quite expensive for a retail stock. 21 times FCF yields about 4.7%. You can get 5.6% risk free return in US Treasuries instead.

Accounting is a dark art, I use FCF as a metric to better understand the business true value. Depreciation and Amortisation are not deducted from the cashflow of the business, instead they are simply numbers written off by accountants. The business may have an asset such as a computer system that loses 10% in value each year for 4 years, but that cash is not being removed from the business. The capital investment was already made and therefore impacted previous years FCF figures from when it was purchased. I agree on the valuation, it's expensive, that's why I wouldn't buy anymore unless it had a 40% discount in value.

Yeah I'm up 50% in GAW. I stupidly only put in 2k back in the mini crash of 2020 when it went to £50 from £100. I could have put in £10k but you live and learn.

Why will they rocket very soon? Surely people are well aware of the shift to sustainability and it's a bet on which fuel is going to win. Personally, I stick to buying companies with predictable future cashflow. Not one for me, thanks for sharing.

Tricky one, most sites are pretty useless when it comes to screening UK stocks. I'm afraid, I have no magic tool for it. Would make for a good video topic, so I'll write that one down for later.

There are a few great options if you are willing to pay. don't bother with free sites though, they are free for a reason.

High quality stock with great momentum, but very very expensive. There are dozens of far better UK stocks out there. Quality alone is not the best criteria for future returns, you need to consider value or momentum (or both) too.

I agree with you. At the moment, value is not readily available in this business. That said, a time may come where that can change and for now it's one to watch.
