I don't understand how none of these "retro" handhelds have a big 4:3 screen. All I want a is a 640x480 5" (or 7") screen SMH

Probably not a lot of 4:3 panels they can grab off the shelf for a decent price to mass produce with.

True, basically every other Anbernic handheld in this price segment has a 640x480 screen, but all of them are 4" or smaller.

Good video ! Problem is - screens are too small !! Consoles are the way to go !! Handheld gaming devices should have at least 7 inch screens !! Even the Switch screen should be larger !! For some games -- harder to play on small screens !!

there's an HDMI out port. So, screen size shouldn't be an issue if you're ok losing portability

I wished the RG Cube XX came with a screen protector like the RG35XX SP. I'm also waiting patiently for muOS to get ported.

There is a test build available for Ko-Fi supporters. It works pretty well other than one of the versions of drastic has some issues that need to be worked on and the retro arch configurations (overlays, resolution, shaders) need work, but other than that it works great.

For classic Game Boy, 1:1 is just as good or better than 4:3. But it really depends on what system you want to play on it.
