PSA: spitit charges have a 10 sec base duration (i did not know that and it is not mentioned on spirit charge wiki entry)

Note that fanaticism is amazing to have 0 mana costas it gives 75% reduced cost (also gives 75% more cast speed and 75% inc aoe) for spells you cast (the buff doesn’t apply to spririt burst as it is a trigger). Easy to get with dirt cheap FF jewels if you don’t want battlemage

Sometimes they do, but a lot of times they don't as they have admitted themselves in past interviews. Or like we've seen in past mid league balance changes (thinking about the purposeful harbringer jewels etc.) that had a lot interactions they hadn't thought about. Chris once said that some of the strongest setups they added to the game were never discovered by the playerbase.

I think some things will be considered, and others won't. Player ingenuity will almost always win out in the end, and those mechanics with complex interactions end up having completely unforseen outcomes. The exploding totems build in this league is a great example of that.

Also, I am not sure if this applies generally, but as far as I know channeled skills like Storm Burst only use one charge when you start channeling and then you can channel "forever" for free!

You can also use Cast When Stunned. Triggering a skill isn't "using" a skill, and cast when stunned already has an advantage of being way more supported in this patch. That said, relying on enemies to hit and stun you probably isn't ideal for everyone, so you could do CWDT loop with it. Another idea is to use CwC with cyclone. Since cyclone is only "used" when you begin channeling it, as long as you never let go, you can rely on the triggering from CwC to deal damage from a physical skill. Cast on Crit could also be used, but I think there's a certain level of investment for that to not really feel worth it. Better to just go pure CoC for that and not worry about the helmet or stacking the charges.

Ill give you another way to get charges if you are going to boss. Vaal Breach, will spawn minions in any arena if you have souls

I personally went with Divine ire plus pathfinder worm flask. I never run out of charges, get mega healing, and dont care at all about spending spirit charges. Solved alot of problems by going with a channeling skill, and actually plays great cause the damage is high and with cast speed i just tap and packs blow up.

very nice helmet but the opportunity cost is a bit too high since since u are using so many equipment slots and a flask and you are also absolutely starved out of gem slots since a very large number will be used for abyss jewels. this makes it in my opinion not op it still is very good though

Next league ima farm Oni-goroshi and use this helmet. Stacking physical damage with attacks seems to be benificial for Oni-gorishi and you already get the embrace added fire damage. Maybe wild strike to get easy conversion.

Interesting how it will interact with Avatar of Fire? And what you think to reduce all mana just for aura, you can have 0 mana?

If you have 100% of mana reserved and you socket Archmage in the helmet, it will gain no mana cost because the cost is based on maximum unreserved mana, which now would be 0. As for Avatar of Fire, it will convert half of the extra damage to fire, so 50% of the cold and lightning damage will be converted to fire.

i would not recommend the method with inspriation+agnostic. If you reduce the skill cost to 0. You no longer gain inspiration charges. Making it a dead support.

PoE unique items in a nutshell: Has good offensive values = OP Has good defensive values = well, yeah it's good and you can use it for this and that but also you may craft these mods on a rare item and get a better outcome because of this and by the way this unique is thrash but I like it's cosmetic value so I will equip it for looking better and die every 10 minutes no joke I'm having so much fun in this game because it became to my full time job and I'm going to enjoy my suffering.

I seen a lot of people worried about not losing the spirit charges and going for all the techs for it. Its not needed. If you are mapping with this helmet, you will keep all or 95% of your charges on, ALL the time. I played a lot with this helmet, and im happy to show video proof, but you really dont need to block the spirit charges from going off, unless you are bossing and you invest hard into it.

Lots of things are easy to keep up while mapping, as some of the most powerful stuff in the game is gated behind kills. What many, including me, don't like is when the thing you're building around just completely falls flat without anything to kill (or having to rely on workarounds like Vaal Breach or the worm flask). Most players don't play 'pure' mappers. Even if they mostly map, they still want to be able to kill at least non-uber endgame bosses, even if it would take them longer to do so than a dedicated bossing build would.

Ignite Ethereal Knives can be quite good, or Wave of Conviction. I believe there is some good build guides out there for both of those

It's possible, but I don't think they would have reworked Abyss if that was the case - I think they'll just find a way to change it to fit PoE2

That's a LOT of hoops to jump through in order to get at most around 300% phys added as extra damage, and even that number is only after jumping through even more hoops in order to fit in around 20 Abyss jewels. Cool tech, but I don't think it's particularly worth it. If I'm going to build around something so completely I want a lot more bang for my buck. A more 'mid-range' setup may be more worth it imo, rather than going all out of your way to make the most of it. But then the numbers aren't all that impressive so...
