Actually 120hp/liter and is still one of the more powerful n/a engine still. It's already a classic, prices are skyrocketing, no brainer. She looks quite clean, be carefull with any OEM piece, even in bad condition, you could be surprised of the cost of some parts. Biggest risk is falling in love with this 🙃
@djambrosia8 ай бұрын
My trusty EP3 appears to share many parts but it won't be seeing 8k anytime soon lol. 100hp per litre for a normally aspirated engine was an amazing feat back then.

An iconic S2000 that appears to have been treated like a Land Rover Defender pick by the framer owner 😂😂👍

You should fix it defiantly, only after you buy it though. Fix it, supercharge it and track it. That's what I call content! Good luck with the algorithm too!
@roscoecoltrane68678 ай бұрын
I'd love to see someone fix it 'defiantly' (can't imagine how that would look), but it's more likely that they would fix 'definitely'

I’m doing a similar job on one now. Look underneath for rust and take the boot carpets out look for leaks. The rear bumper number plate insert piece is discontinued. That’s a high tax band car being an 06 so look into that
@mattb43538 ай бұрын
Great cars and worth a fair bit now in good nick. Check for rattles, can be timing chain tensioner. It's a facelift so Drive by wire throttle. If it's a post march 06 it's got the big road tax so a bit harder to shift.

It deserves to sorted, 2 ways you could go with it, return to standard but will require some good cash in parts or this is would be a good base for a track car.......but I guess that's for the owner to decide

Rust, rear suspension adjustment bolts can be a right pain, VTEC actuators, and thats a larer one so throttle by wire and high tax band. Oh and boot leaks. I tried to find a good one a few years back but gave up and bought a TVR instead....so what do i know.

In short, yes. It's a car totally worth saving and would make for great content. I'd price in for a full respray and new interior though so very much low ball the offer.

S2Ks are always in high demand. Do the due diligence on the fluids and any error codes. I wouldn't even bother with the body work. Whoever buys it is likely going to track it anyway.

Probably. Depends on how much money you can afford to risk sinking into an unfixable car (risk on a barn car is substantial even with a Honda).

Absolutely not. This one needs bodywork, paint, perhaps rims, tyres, the interior is crap, it needs a new roof and God knows how it looks from underneath. Probably full of rust. It's cheaper to buy a good one than fix a bad one. It will never be as good as a decent example.
