You should add teleporters! Also there should probably be x, y, and z offsets for the logic, right? How else will Dapper make a cheese track?

yo. am i missing something, or are the logic pieces INCREDABLY restricting? ive not figured out if i even can move the block relative from the detection hitbox in more than one direction. suggestion: seperate the zeepkist detectors from the actual blocks, then add an "id" value to the parts select menu, and have all the zeepkist detectors toggle/affect all the blocks that have the same id. nu ik heb nog bijna nooit gecodeerd, dus geen idee hoe doenbaar dat is, maar ik heb al eens iets vergelijkbaars gezien in een spel genaamd "golfit", en dat zou een fantastiche manier zijn om meer te kunnen doen met de logic. similar trend, what about a "timer"piece, that when triggered by either the zeepkist hitting it, or when its input id is triggered, gives an output to a diffirent id at a delay. edit: 18:30 oooooohhh like that you can also move your input/output in multiple directions, got it. but like still just having a logic ID would be simpler right?

If the trains can trigger logic or hit blocks, make players race against the train, if the train gets there first, it triggers something that blocks the finish.

That would be the ultimate speed check. Imagine never slowing down and still not being fast enough to beat the train. You'll have to get warcans to set the author times.

Or the other way: The train has to arrive before the player can finish. The player has to activate the rails.

Video idea: make a shunting area with the logic from 19:41. You could make it so the finish only becomes accessable when the train is at the correct location

For the Frogger level, just have fewer trains and train tracks, but have the road for the players weave back and forth between those tracks so that you'll have to cross them several times. After all, in Frogger you'll have to go back some times when you get blocked forward to evade a car or there is no path forward and you'll be swept away out of bounds and such. So a tracking weaving back and forth through the train tracks would be fitting and you c an get away with fewer trains overall.

You already went in a similar direction, but how about a Track where above you is a Train driving and you below have a lot of different paths which will trigger a switch for the train. The aim would be to get the train to the right station where it triggers a block to disappear revealing the goal (and if you don't drive the right path, the goal will be blocked). It's basically a "choose the right path", but you also have an indication of whether or not your path is right by seeing the changes to the train track and where the train is.

Id like to see you create a train that, as it go through the track, you have to keep up and time it so you jump/drive through the gaps of the train on a large serpentine pattern

PRO TIP: in the file if you set a part id to 21, it spawns a secret block that disables photo mode for EVERYONE, even hosts and devs, also nothing happens if you hit it with your car so just don’t worry about it ;)

A handful of ideas using new things, some of them stupid but maybe they'll be the seed of something good: Train robbery? Wild west town? Top Gear style race against a train (maybe set up so the finish is blocked if it beats you)? Paragliding into a train that takes you to the finish in a tunnel? Superman 64 with the paraglider? Pizza themed level with those 1/8th slices, dodging toppings? Normal looking track with shortcuts, but each one triggers logic to make the next parts of the track slightly harder? Precision map where you need to time yourself with a monorail going around at a few points? Trolley problem track??? This update is super cool, big credit to Yannic for all the work he's done! :D Also very excited to see with you and the others do with all of this. Unfortunately can't afford the game for myself just yet so I'm gonna be living vicariously through the videos

Amsterdam Centraal! Make an adventurous red light theme track to the left with its own finish. And a touristy track to the right that ends at Amsterdam Centraal.

I was there last month and that area has changed and expanded left . It’s almost like they are filling the void by restricting cannabis by expanding red light district.

I look forward to seeing you play through the adventure tracks and slamming your face into the wall (from what I've seen of Dapper playing them) that is finding the various secrets all over the place. Also, I'm sure you're going to come up with some crazy logic tracks. :3

Train station however make a few trolls to where people think they are finding a short cut. But a ball will drop before they can make it.

What we need now is a GUN TRANSFORMATION! Imagine you are on a train and you have cement wheels (meaning you aren't going anywhere, you are stuck on the train). You have to guide the train to go down correct paths. Imagine you have to shoot targets/logic gates to change tracks. We. Need. Gun!

Ideas I had while watching: 1> ball dropping with logic could easily make a speed check by triggering the drop and must pass through before the ball reaches the other trigger or must wait for the ball to hit the trigger before arriving (prevents going too slow or fast depending on positioning and settings) and 2> with the different monorail junctions, you could make an adder and know how many times players have passed through it, either as a manual lap counter or determining the number of players for certain actions to occur.

If you want something logic-heavy you could make a track where you have to spell a word (go though labeled triggers in the correct sequence) in order to unlock the finish.

Thinking of some of your older tracks, the logic can help in directing the flow. Like the one in the box where you had the tubes snaking back in, and you had the arrows poi ting to the first tube. Now you could use logic to block off the tubes that havr bee completed. Or change the entrance the arrows are pointing at. Then, of course you can go tge Dapper route, where shortcuts are revealed when certain co ditions are met.

Make a track with the pass through wagon that uses logic to position the train where you need it, when you need it. Less about high speed and more about picking the right path and timing it just right.

Idea: Make a track where you go on the monorail and race it so you need to be efficient so you don’t slow down too much and get run over. Additional note: If you haven’t, you should DEFINITELY try Cosmoteer with the most fitting person, Kosmo. It is single player and MP and you build and fly spacecraft. I would love to see a series of you and him playing it cus I know you are good friends with him and you’d most likely enjoy the game itself too. P.S I love the monorail!

I want to see a blind turn only track so everything is a blind turn so you cant see or predict what is next. Also an actions and consequences track where you can take a short cut but you have to sacrifice the benefit of off road that would help you on the track.

note block: the first three bars of "Speak Softly, Love" the first bar or two of "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" -- A challenge where drivers had a choice of a long easy track playing music (art) or a more complex shorter track without music (speed). Would be interesting to see which path was taken more often. - A challenge track that grows more difficult and frantic while playing "In the Hall of the Mountain King, Op. 46" - which is only a 2 minute song.

I just discovered Zeepkist and i m stoked, i shoull really get the game. With the Logic stuff, woudln't it be possible to make Multiple Laps? I am thinking spawn in Check points with a logic block when finishing a lap? Potentially with the second lap being different from the first one. An other idea would be a train crossing and one of the carriages can be "jump through" triggering a booster.

I just bought Zeepkist yesterday, and the EZ levels all have just out-of-reach author times. I got within a second of all of them, but for a level like EZ-01 I'm not sure how to optimize better. Perhaps I'll ask on Discord. The three progress markers are current best medal, a star if all rewards are unlocked, and a check mark if all gifts have been found. The signs say all of this, but most KZbinrs read the comments more than they read the in-game text. :) I look forward to seeing what all you come up with in the new update!

Track ideas: I kind-of want to see a track where portions of it have you driving down parralel train tracks and you have to get out of the way of, high speed, oncoming trains. Maybe a track with note blocks where the note blocks are used to hint at shortcuts or power ups based on following a path that plays an actual song. This could also be combined with the logic blocks to make it so hitting the notes is actually required to unlock the power-ups/shortcuts. Would a sonic style rail-grind level be possible, possibly with some monorails as a catch up or shortcut mechanic?

Here me out. Make an operations center with a couple omni boosters in it, and several flip-flop switches. You have to help a train survive in order to get on it. You can do it half wall of walt like (but nicer) where the driving surface is tilted 45 deg and then counteract most of the gravity lateral to the surface with a fan. That would give people visibility with a pretty reasonable driving surface. I know it's what you want to build. That or build a full adder just because you could.

I can forsee you building a series of monorail tracks where you have to have speed X across triggers, to unlock trains or move trains to unlock the track. You can use it as speed check, or as a fast player limiter, even. You could make it with logic 'timers' (physics objects v gravity) to delete track pieces as speed checks, or fast player limiters. Ohhh the possibilities.

Does the game calculate your speed based on your actual velocity or is it going by the speed the wheels are spinning? I'm asking this because you could make a very mean short track. It's just a series of boosters, slowsters, kill blocks, and other things mashed in a short distance, but on top of a never ending train looped. So if you miss a booster, you're going to either start going backwards or be considered "going too slow' and be reset. If it's by wheel spin, you can still make it a very mean course by having the train just go against the direction towards the goal. Just put some with soap and ice tops on them every once in a while and it's basically like a zeepkist treadmill hell. 2 check points and it's only like 50 meters long, but again, because the train's going against your direction of travel, it's going to be paramount that you get every boost and not get any slowsters or lose it on the soap or ice sections.

Make a "pick your path" with logic. A straight section with a number of walls seperating left and right triggers (so they can't trigger both). Each pair of triggers removes a wall at a junction, so you can only go left or right based on which trigger you selected. Some paths will lead to a dead ends and some paths will take longer to reach the end, some paths will be the "same" (maybe a short split that rejoins the same track but one path will give you off-road wheels and the the other soap wheels. Then to be extra mean, put the triggers in a different order from the gates so they can't work out "I need to select the left side of the 4th trigger for the better path. You could also double up some triggers with the gates all located at the same spot. So if you hit all of the "bad choice" or dead end triggers, it opens up a cheese track that gives you an instant win.

"frogger with trains" i secretly a clone of etho?! also i'd say go with a precision flying map, but when you pass the first spot you get inverted steering, and 2nd you get inverted arms up / brake, then you still gotta pass a 3rd that will finally clean it all before the finish (once you got used to the swap)

I played some of your older tracks and also ones from the others. I am probably speaking for everyone that it would be really nice, if you added arrows or other direction informations on the tracks. You as the builder memorize the track even without wanting to do so, which makes knowing corners etc intuitive for the builder but a "new" player has to drive even easy tracks a couple of times to even understand where to go. I hope you take this criticism/feedback with you into your friend group. Thanks kan

I wonder if the static parts that the logic gates make appear/disappear are capable of directly triggering other logic gates. If so, you could possibly make some really fast logic circuits.

Do all the train components produce the same amount of lag? If it's just the smoke stack code that is poorly optimised, or something like that, you might be able to swap those components out to make your Frogger level run more smoothly.

This would probably take too long to build and play, but you could make a Legend of Zelda style map with an overworld and different "dungeons", and you have to complete the first dungeon to get off-road wheels in order to beat the second dungeon, and the second dungeon gets you a paraglider to get you to the third dungeon

I just thought of a troll map, since the modifiers can act as checkpoint, it's just a munch of modifier blocks and you have to find the fastest way through the ones that are checkpoints and get to the exit.

I started a simple channel last month and finally got the nerve to start recording Zeepkist when I saw the update dropped. I took a long break and was never very good to begin with so if anybody want's to watch a noob run through Adventure Mode so they don't feel as bad about their own skill level please check me out! lol

I'm replicating Mario kart tracks now that it's possible to count laps with logic and with that glider part it's also possible to replicate flying sections with more accuracy

I can see a way to use flip flop where you have a block that turns into a ramp the 2nd time you go through it, so you have a looping track and when you go through the trigger again you go to a different part of the track (up or down.) or it could be a trapped floor and you have to go back to the start, maybe make a track that looks very simple, but when you get to the exit you get dropped down to hell and have to do the actual track and then climb back up?

Need a glider map, start off being chased by train, then fly off the track into a glider checkpoint, and flying under a train bridge, followed by offroad on the dunes at the beach.

Dont forget that the new tracks have unlockables inside. Just go and serch. The first run you did had it at the other side of the ending. A kind of golden splater floating arrownd the haybales.

U have to collect items around the track maps. When you found all items a green checkmark appears. The yellow star marks that you received all possible item unlocks from the level

Didn't you make a track where you drive upside down, but the steering was inverted because of it? You could use the invert steering block to allow you to steer properly on that track

Create a map where periodically you have the change blocks, but each time there are 2 (or even 3) blocks next to each other an you have to try and choose which one you think will be best for the next section of track. Try and create utter chaos with it.

Would it be posssible to make a train that carries the finish alongside the track and you have to hit triggers keeping the train from crashing. At the end of the track, the finish lines up with a jump.

U can hide shortcuts in a series of triggers, with a code as such. even with Photomode shortcuts can still stay kinda hidden. Dapper tracks are gunna be cheese infested.

You can still do the frogger with trains, just use 4-5, have them loop back into the path.

So with logic you can make trains controlable and make a train racing course, where you move behind it and choose the correct path for the train to keep moving by somehow forcing camera view to be like top down on the train itself, I'm sure someone has the brain to do that, I just got the idea but thats as far as I can get XD

Haven't watched it to the end but is it possible to put checkpoints on the logic triggers? I see many possibilities if that's possible.

My thought process when I work on web applications or games is also "oh hey i should make a custom thing of this to reuse it later". Makes it easy for future me😂

you could do an infuriating maze, where u have to drive thru the right gates to stop trains from hitting you in the track, but the maze aspect is that you go thru multiple gates before the train actually hits you so you dont know which gates you went through were wrong or right :)

TRAIINS!!!!! I dont have this game but id love to see a “race the train to the finish” and its a soft timed race and you got to be faster then the train else the end closes or something like a short cut gets cut off maybe

kAN two ideas for you. A track were you have to go through a bunch of invisible logic triggers to reveal the finish. Or how about a track were you have to zig zag back and forth over a train track racing a train to the finish that if you do not beat the train it blocks the finish.
