I agree! The flying made it so much better. Then Scrapman mentioned smash bros and now I want to see a version with weapons' that smack them down and see some spiking! I think it might be possible if they blocked off 2 sides with glass so there was less area to fly around.

He mentioned spiking to! I think it'd be neat to revisit this idea are refine it. Add something that forces the opponents vehicle down to imitate spiking. Could block off two sides with glass so it's similar to a smash bros arena, only falling off the left and right sides. Add a bunny hop to get yourself off the ground and fly. Once they prefect the vehicle they could make multiple maps for tons of content!

Rather than being "off ground = no thruster" maybe do an OR gate with a ground sensor and a timer, with the timer being fed by the ground sensor, too. Then you have a little bit of time to recover and you don't instantly lose power as soon as the suspension glitch puts you at a weird angle when you hit each other.

Put a timer that the engines will work for if they do not detect the ground to get back to the arena... like 5 seconds. You might (or might not) put a flipper on it to flip over though as the engines will likely stop working after 5 seconds if you flip... You might try putting wheels on the front spinning really fast as a weapon. It would add a level of pure madness to the game.

Paint the outside 10 blocks of the map red. If you go into the red, a sensor turns your thrusters off. Or maybe have 4 thrusters on low power and the sensor turns 2 of them off to get half power

Interesting arena. You could place patches of high friction blocks haphazardly around the arena. Kinda like reverse black ice. You could also have the outer sections of the arena drop away after 3 and 5 mins to make it smaller and prevent the round from going too long.

Put a second floor underneath to catch the carts and walls to keep them inside the second floor, then have either ramps or elevators to get back up. If they fall to the second floor they're still out but you can at least recover the carts :)

For the next one, make it so the cars are always on half power, but have it so you can press a button to go max speed for a second, and then it goes on cooldown for a couple seconds. This would allow for some pretty cool comebacks if timed correctly in the correct situations. You could also add some charges, like 2 charges and then cooldown.

You could also simply lower the arena to the deletion-one, so that you don't have any air time if you fall off it, essentially you'll still see the top of the vehicle as it disappears.

same thing but with always on motor and an accumulator-boost, you can only get boost on certain tiles (colour detector below your car) and only up to a maximum! i really loved the concept but add some "powerups" and this is gonna be awesome :) (have a bumper only be available after collecting it etc. maybe you can even change the colour emitted after a car drives over it?)

I think you should do something similar to this but have spud guns on the vehicle so you can shoot at the others and try and hit buttons placed on the vehicle that activate one of the thrusters or turning depending on what button you shoot. Kan charging you then he darts to the side as you hit his turning 😂

this got me thinking, will suspension glitches, both steering and stabilizer, even work still once Chapter 2 comes out? Since they fixed the physics lag, did the changes to the physics system potentially disable the suspension glitchs? If so, we'll need new blocks that replicate the functionality, likely in a mod.

Sumo is about strength and weight . These vehicles all have the same strength so it becomes about agility. Try adding a temporary booster that you can use for x seconds every y seconds. Then it becomes a game of timing your booster and strategy of saving up your strength
