I appreciate how you demystify the various gouges with clear and precise tutorial. You also prove that a spindle gouge can be used effectively for bowl hollowing and shaping. Thank you.

Thanks again for another great video. I started turning watching Richard’s and your videos so I use spindle gouges for everything.

Gracias Tomislav, para mi, es el momento mas delicado y sufro patinazos y retrocesos con frecuencia. Siempre entro con un poco de temor que espero ser capaz de superar

I appreciate you taking time to put videos like these together. Thank you for this great video. Can please do more content like this. Can you possibly do this same type of video for entry cuts with the spindle gouge on spindle work next? I am having a terrible time with skates on spindle work as well and I think this type of content will help everyone out.

Thank you so much, my Friend!!! You are an excellent Teacher and your lessons rival anything I would learn in a classroom. I don’t know if you have already created one, but a video on grinding your tools would greatly help me. Thanks again, Mr. Tomislav

This may help. Almost every turning I skate once or twice. Then I modify my design to turn away the deep tool mark. Great video!

I’m comfortable with cross grain turnings. Not quite there yet with spindle turning. Working on it though. Thanks for sharing your skills on this!

Merci Tomislav, voilà en effet une belle idée d'exercice pour progresser, ces supports vont me servir pour des gouttes tournées à la manière de Yann Marot

Excellent thankyou. Your video on peeling cuts was great and now I know how to do them. However re this one I thought you were supposed to cut “downhill”

Great instructional video. So I guess the asymmetric grind is not used when the point of the tool needs to get into tight spaces.

How are you feeling about the new lathe? I was working with some seasoned live oak yesterday, and my small (Record Power Coronet) lathe was walking around the floor. I may be bolting it to the floor soon. I've only been at this for 5 months, and I'm already wishing for a larger machine.
