We do not navigate our lives by what is in our heart, why? Because the heart of man is inconceivably wicked. We don't use a person's comment as a sign because an adulterous generation seeketh after a sign. We allow the word of God to direct our lives, we submit to the holy Spirit and then we move in faith based on those.

Can you share where in scripture that gives you this belief of a Pre-Trib Rapture? I have not found any such scripture, nor any subtle support that back this view which is rather quite new. God did not prevent the suffering of any of the Apostles or the OT leaders-> God brought about conversions, softening of hearts through the examples of His faithful- from sacrificing all they’ve known, to suffering ridicule/ isolation/ rejection, to imprisonment/ torture/ death, with Joy/ Peace/ Fullness due to their faith & trust in God… We shouldn’t believe that we are so much more loved, special, valuable than those who came before us, those in the Bible, that God will protect those at the end of days from the suffering/ depravity/ & deceit that scripture says will be so convincing that none of the elect (God’s faithful) would remain if not for shortening the time. Such a belief will not be able to stand strong & faithful to God by those who hold it when the last days come..

Thankful for this conversation! Not wanting to prejudge this, but. After saying he didn’t want to form straw man argument he spewed out a Miriam of them. I have never met anyone who frowns on Christian business owners. Personal evangelism IS the command of scripture NOT owning your own business and or WINNING in life. What I find so interesting is all the scriptures talking about this topic that people ignore. Our commission is simple, occupy until he returns. Occupy with what. Preaching the gospel of the kingdom like John did. Whatever your eschatology is that is and always has been the commission.
@theeternalsbeliever1779 Жыл бұрын
Personal evangelism is not commanded in scripture anywhere. That is what evangelicals believed based on their erroneous reading of the Great Commission, but that isn't biblical. Christ was specifically talking to the apostles. _They_ and the ppl appointed by God as evangelists were given that task, NOT the lay Christian.

Talking about Gnosticism, I think one of the lies that we inherited was secular and religious are two different things. Christians shouldn't involve themselves in secular things as they say. So, some pastors would depend on the church for their salary instead of putting up their own business. @theeternalsbeliever1779 Жыл бұрын
Time isn't what is causing the division. The real problem is that ppl won't simply believe, accept, or do what God has to say. There is no excuse for it because God is rather plain about even the most basic topics. The division and confusion in traditional Christianity is the result of its adherents disregarding scripture to pursue their own traditions. They're literally no different than the Orthodox Jews Christ had to deal with.

@theeternalsbeliever1779 See, I honestly believe that our Faiths language and understanding can be represented by a rope. When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies flee to the mountains. That’s exactly where the Christians went when Rome absolutely wreaked havoc on Jerusalem of the likes the world had never seen. The Christians were safe in the town of Pella, which is in the mountains, because that’s where Jesus told them to go when the tribulation signs appeared.

Isn't it fascinating how so many contradicting eschatology stories can be extracted from the perfect clarity of the Word of God.

Growing up Pentecostal, we had the left behind belief but that’s not Biblical. Now it’s not as important. What I believe is 1. Christ is coming back. 2. He can come back in my lifetime or not. 3. I need to focus on living for Christ, spreading the gospel and bringing His kingdom to earth by living as a testimony, praying and healing people, feeding the poor etc vs just sitting in my living room telling people nothing matters because Christ is returning any day now. I think unfortunately that’s what too many members of the Church are doing.

Totally agree!! We as Christians, should always be on a mission to spread the gospel and give glory to God. Rather that is feeding the hungry, mowing someone's grass or serving in a church.

I believe that Yeshua will return after the tribulation (which will be cut short on the from end by being delayed) I believe in being a light to the world and sharing the good news and living in obedience to the LAw of God (all of it) even if I end up suffering death during the tribulation period, I know that my ultimate ending is eternal life in His Kingdom. That's good news...we have nothing to fear. My only contention with this theory of (all that has already been accomplished) is that you may not be mentally prepared to face the coming persecution.

These 2 verses give me pause in considering postmillinialism: “No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,” 2 Thessalonians 2:3(then goes on to say Jesus will slay him at his coming a few verses later) “I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”” Luke 18:8 Both of these seem to indicate that things will be bad before the return of Christ and that the whole world won’t be Christian. This video did help me appreciate the position and made me put Postmillinialism above premillennialism as a more likely view but I remain AMillinial because you can have all the positive points mentioned in the video under that view without violating those verses above. To me, the Spiritual world is very real and many postmillinials cessassationism makes them think of spiritual things as not effecting the tangible physical world.

"Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness." 2 Peter 3:11-13 NLT I interpret this selection of Scripture as this: we can "hurry along" the day of the Lord by living lives that are above reproach and glorify Jesus; not ourselves.

Seriously, brother Joel, you missed a few things. When Jesus physically returns and the dead are raised, that's not the final blow to death. It's not until he sits on the throne of David for 1000 years then after that death is cast into the lake of fire. People will still die during the 1000 years.

I was raised to believe the dispensational framework but upon studying Matthew 25 and all OT/ NT connected verses I have come to believe in Pre-wrath/ pre-mil. Basically we will be gathered to Christ as he returns to reign, no secret rapture 7 years earlier. Don’t think it’s a salvation issue no matter the view but do worry about peoples faith being shaken if things don’t happen in the order they were expecting

My parents made very poor financial decisions in the 90’s because they believed the tribulation was imminent. Those decisions are why they are still working in their 70’s. They would be millionaires if they had not made those decisions.

As someone who would be labeled "antisemitic" simply for noticing this and expressing it; I am always fascinated with Christians who have jewish phenotypes and surnames. Especially when they are critical of dispensationalism and are fierce defenders of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I think it is wild how the Hebrews of Jesus's time were the ones who Jesus came to, to bring about his ministry and then spread to the gentiles and all nations. Yet now, it seems to be in the inverse.

This certainly blew my mind ! But the question was asked how does Pastor Joel's theology differ from the prosperity gospel and the 7 mountain mandate. Pastor Joel answered the first part vry well but he did not even address the question concerning the 7MM. It would be great to get Pastor Joel's take on this.

BRO I JUST HAD A SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE the EXPERIENCE BROUGHT ME TO A PLACE OF UNDERSTANDING I HAVE A GIFT BUT I HAVE NO ONE WHOS OFFERED TO SHOW ME HOW TO SELECT AND FIND MY WAY AS A SUCCESFUL CHRISTIAN BUISNEESMAN OR ACCUMULATE WEALTH. HELP PLEASE CONNECT ME TO SOMEONE TO HELP IF YOU CAN I am humbly putting myself out here. It may be hopeless finding a Christian man who would help me ( a Christian man ) but I'm not entitled and trust God can do anything so I won't stop trying.

I was raised in a premillennial/dispensational teaching church, and I still attend one. I lean toward that interpretation, however, I’ve been studying others and open to reconsidering my position. That said, I’m not sure where this depiction of rapture believing Christians came from? Premil/dispensationalist believe in the imminent rapture. Imminent means could happen at any time. That could be 10 years from now or 100. I haven’t met any Christian that holds to this interpretation of scripture that believes long term plans don’t matter because “Christ will return by then.” It’s actually kind of comical. We are here for the long run (or as Paul says “marathon”) and living our lives as such. Anyway, not sure when this rumor started but I don’t think it’s true that the vast majority of believers think that way. That said, I appreciate the guest and Ruslan having this type of conversation. It’s very important even if there is some disagreement in the interpretation of specific scripture.
