Vance is the nominee as voted on at the convention. According to the lawyer on Brian Tyler Cohen's show Democracy Watch, they can't get rid of him even if they wanted to. Biden and Kamala on the other hand, were the presumptive nominee but the Democrats haven't had their convention yet so they could legally change.

Shapiro is good for PA, but a liability for young voters, who’ll see him as detracting from Kamala’s approach to Israel. Couldn’t he help campaign for Kamala in PA without being VP?
