VR is the best. One thing most people who’ve never experienced it may not understand is that it’s a 3D image. It’s not just a screen on your face. You get separate projections for each eye and everything you’re looking at in the cockpit has depth and parallax. When you’re looking out of the plane and down at the ground, you get a feeling of the height. I can’t wait to see how much better it gets in the next few years.

You do not need parallax and dual vision to see depth, it's more obvious but not mandatory.

Vr sucks and you can get 3d with just a screen. I still have a 3d TV but unfortunately that was just a fad. But playing on a 3D TV would be much better and much less of a hassle than having to play with a headset. P.s. When watching content on a 3D TV it feels like you can reach your hand right inside the TV screen and it feels like things can come right out of the screen into your living room. I'd how much are they play this on a 3D TV I had a psvr 2 in an Oculus quest 2.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2022, I visited my son in Denver, where he serves as an instructor at United Airlines flight academy. We had the incredible fortune to get a 4 hour block of time in a modern full motion simulator. He’s type rated in the 757/767 and our session was in a 767-400 simulator. I have never been so amazed in my life! It’s had me wanting MS Flight Simulator ever since. An absolutely life altering few hours. Watching my son in instructor mode, I was in awe of what these guys go through to do what they do. As a winged Naval Aviator for 8 years, one of his operational tours was in the RAG training others on the E6B Mercury (a 707 airframe). And his twin brother currently flies for the USAF, and my youngest serves as a member of the United States Marine Corp Band, “The President’s Own”. I guess you could say I’m a proud dad😊

It is literally like going from black and white TV to color. You can't go back. That Pymax is perfection. I have around 3000 hours in the Zibo all VR on xplane. I have tried to do screen flights but it's just nit the same. Your situational awareness is so much more in VR. Can I say this to everyone who flies VR here... the Biggscreen beyond is the headset for you. I don't own one currently but the oled screens and the overall weight make it probably the best overall option when coupled with a nice set of pedals, yoke and index controllers.

Arma 1..2..3 did it...u Can disembark and go inside building houses ..warehouses..u Can drive a car or walk in huge town or medium .. unfortunetaly no clickable cockpit...but a dedicated team give a mod almost fully clickable Apache AH-64 D longbow on Arma 3..u should check it then come back to thanksful me 😂

VR is so cool but there is such a steep point of entry. 1. Beefy PC ($1500) for PCVR (RTX 3080, fast CPU) 2. Headset options ($300 - $3000) 3. Tinkering to optimize your performance quality to still maintain your refresh rate of 60Hz, 72Hz, or 90Hz 4. Oversampling enough to improve quality but not kill performance. I've had a Quest 2 for 2 years now and I'm thinking of going for a used Quest 3 or just waiting one more generation leap. But yes, it's like being in the cockpit of a plane, helicopter, or car, it's awesome. I played Cyberpunk 2077 with the Luke Ross mod from start to finish, game changer!

You know diving a car Is Easy .. you hold a wheel and It Is done. Shooting Is easier. grab a fake rifle and It Is over. But Flying Is different You have to Press buttons and turn knobs. Yeah I also love Iracing in VR. One thing to keep in mind flight sims are way more demanding don't expect the same level of smoothness. You can forget about 90fps for MSFS or DCS.

Man, it's too bad that the image wasn't as clear as you probably saw it. I have seen that VR before and it is pretty incredible (and very pricey). Also, I'm glad you made this video because I love flying helicopters. I haven't kept up with third party and this helicopter is now something I'm going to have to get. The H-135 and H-145 are my favorites. 🤩 And with such low visibility you reminded me of Koby Bryant's pilot. Similar conditions. 😧 Still, great video!

Having the video at 1080p unfortunately doesn't do justice with the crystal at all. I use mine to play DCS and it is like having a 4k monitor on your face. The clarity of the headset is amazing. I find myself flying around DCS maps just looking around more than doing missions on some days. It has some weight to it but it is distributed evenly across your head.

I was worried about it before I got into it, never felt anything at all.. hours in VR. I only sim in VR now. So good, and hard to go back to 2d. If you do feel sick, just build up to longer sessions. It will go away.

Great question. It looks heavier then it actually is.. and the padding on the face,cheek and face area really help so u dont feel much pressure even after long playthroughs. Also tightening the headset from the back really helps balance the weight and make it more comfortable. I have no complaints in this area

I wish I knew about the Crystal headset beforehand. I have an NVIDIA 4090 card to run it. I just spent $800 on the Quest 3, 256 GIG. Would be hard to justify another headset 2 months apart.

Hi there, I've been looking at the Crystal for a month now and watching your video and listening to your enthusiasm, I am sold. I do mostly bush flying and really enjoy looking at the sights at 1500 to 2000 hundred ft. It is most important to be able to see the grass airfields. Love flying over the Alps. My question to you is: What do you have as a computer to be able to get the most out of the VR headset? I know I will have to upgrade as I am running with a Reverb G2 and my computer is good for that but I don't believe it is powerful enough to run the Crystal. I would appreciate any help you might be able to offer. Thank you for the video and blessings, Clinton

I think u need a 30series graphics card or newer.. not sure if cpu matters. I would check website for minimum specs. The crystal is honestly there reason why i upgraded my pc. Also if you do buy the crystal in December you can 8% off using my link in description let me kno if u need anything else

I did research the minimum requirements and it said a 2060 graphics card would work and I have the 2070 super card and an i7 with 32 meg of memory, I am sure it would run but I don't think I would be getting the most out of the Crystal. Being that the headset is quite an investment I want to be sure I get a computer that will take advantage of what the Crystal is capable of displaying. The 3090 sounds like it would be a good choice with a power supply to run it. All in all, as I said I was so excited after seeing your video, I am sold for sure.
