evan was one of the first people i met within the mk1 community and we finally got the chance to have him tell us all about his 81 rabbit pickup. im pretty sure this truck has been to more states than i have!

I drove my rabbit from the midwest to california, down to AZ. a couple years ago. Then through Texas and up I35 on the way home. Never saw another Rabbit let alone a rabbit pickup.

Damn dude. I’m from the Hudson Valley. Lived in Fishkill and been all over the area. Whenever places like NP are mentioned in all like “oh I’m from there!!!” Only had a mk4 when I was out there and hadn’t delved into early water cooled till I moved to California. good thinking on the wheel. i wouldn’t be opposed to giving away the nardi that’s in the silver rabbit 👀 hell yeah thanks for the support, always gonna do my best to keep the commercial fake crap out of the channel. the sponsors can absolutely help but you can blame this place for underpaying us smaller channels in the first place. thank them for creating the hell that is sponsorship readings in videos. i’m sure i’ll end up working with some companies or even other channels eventually, but i’ll always make sure it’s as seamless/relatable/beneficial to the channel as possible.

Dude you can heat wrap the turbo and it will spool up better. And you complain about diesel smoke in garage. Um dude. You should leave the garage door open on gasoline cars as they are more toxic than diesel. People kill themselves with gasoline emissions Who has ever killed the self’s in their garage with diesel. You need a carbon monoxide detector to be able to tell dangerous gasoline emissions. And you would rather change from a visible emissions for an invisible one. … Just sayin. If you want good put an ahu Tdi with a catalytic converters. 40mpg…. Those are rated at 54mpg in a Mk3 (600+lbs more than a caddy) As someone who had an ahu Tdi in my caddy for a decade there is no better engine. No other engine that bolts in like stock All coolant flanges… hoses…. . You can use oem 1.6 manifolds on the ahu if you want I ran mine for years without a turbo. But it gets an honest 60mpg. To think about trading that for gasoline is pure sin.
