Hey Broncos, can you advise any training type videos on how to best enter and exit inlets like Haulover and Boca? Best speeds and trim for following sea, how to approach heading sea, that sort of thing. Is safest speed a function of boat length or wave period? Cheers.

I cant believe that Boaters have such an easy go at it, watching passengers and captain break so many Laws. Here in Alabama if the water patrol catches you riding the Bow, or standing up beside the center console, and most of Over-Loading a smaller boat....smh....you will at the very least get a hefty fine, and if it's egregious - enough they will impound your boat....

boats were 5-0 this round really. and yes not a good idea for the kids but the boat handled it pretty flat, and the guy riding the bow was doing it for fun to begin with, like riding the bow in a white water raft even (which I have done).

Falling out of a boat when you’re along the side of the boat is fine as is falling out from the rear. You do not want to fall out while in the bow of the boat well the boat is running and in gear.

Boats vrs Haulover contest should at least where all the boats are heading out, not coming in. I have seen enough of these videos that on rough days, heading out is far more challenging than heading back in.

In General terms you are correct. However depending on the tides and which way they are moving in or out (speed and volume), as well as the wind speed and direction all play a huge roll in the condition of the inlet, along with the bottom surface and the shape of the inlet as the sand is continually shifting amongst the stationary bottom rocks and changing the top side wave patterns. All of these variables play a role on the wave conditions top side.

The whole ideal of this poorly desgned "boat channel" is a bad ideal. What is that little sh!t jetty supose to do, - nothing except to build up a sandbar and create bigger waves.It is a navigational hazard in itself. Who ever planned this trecherous disaster should be fired. How many live are lost and how much properity is damaged there yearly?. This would never be permitted in any other state. Lawsuites would be common.
