((Edit)) Thanks for all your concern guys but the bench seats ARE in fact the correct height... It’s just that Lucy’s only 5’1” so her legs are really short 🙈🙈 Thanks for watching our latest video, drop us a line below and let us know what you thought. 👇👇👇 Don't forget to hit subscribe and turn on post notifications to keep up to date with our Bedford van conversion project and future travel plans!

Your seat benches are to high guys. Poor Lucy can't touch the floor 😀 raise the floor 4 inches or so will solve the problem and create so more storage. Loving the build and you guys are cool

Hahaa that’s normal for Lucy tbh 😂 cheers guys hope you liked the video!

Love all your vids guys. Raising the floor will also raise the table. Good for your legs and Lucy, bless her 😁, can touch down

Thanks for the limewash experiment. We were thinking of using it in our cabin in our woods but now we won't bother. Too much malarkey me thinks. Love the way the video is edited. Really professional and hold attention throughout. A great van and a great video.
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
Yeah totally not worth the hassle in our opinion haha! If this video can persuade just one person it’s not a good idea we’ll deem that a success 😂 thank you so much- much appreciated ☺️

Great video! Where did you get the table stand?
@FromRustToRoadtrip2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It's from a local hardware shop that sells boating equipment, sure you can probably find an equivalent online (this one's quite similar to ours amzn.to/3N0roto) 😊

Have you thought about power to weight ratio
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it’s not going to be running for at-least a few years, rather it’ll be stationary and hired out as a quiet getaway by the sea. Once it’s recouped some money, we’ll start looking at getting her on the road with possibly an upgraded engine.

So sorry about your cat, she looks as though she had a long and happy life. She'll be chasing mice to her hearts content now. How about using some waney edge timber for framing things. You can sometimes pick them up cheaply from merchants. Once varnished they look great. Guy.
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks so much for the sympathy 🙏 She did indeed, and she loved being outside with us when we were working on the van! That’s a good idea, we were actually thinking of doing something like that around the window frames, getting it cheaply somewhere in Cornwall will be the tricky part though 😅

Sorry guys , been following you since day one . If you remember I’m a chef too ,, well done, But , that bench should measure the same high as one of your restaurant chairs ,,,,,,
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
Things are a little different inside a van compared to a restaurant 😜 not exactly sure what’s looking depressing in here either, but we all have our own tastes.. we have a vision and we’re well on the way to getting there 🤙
@cornishhh3 жыл бұрын
Can't you just mount the table leg on something to raise it? Maybe a slice of tree trunk?
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
Ahh that’s a good shout actually! Don’t know why we didn’t think of that
@pascalh30103 жыл бұрын
Be carefull you are using heavy materials that your van is not over his maximum weight! And with the old engine it still wants tot go up hill. Made that mistake 1 in a old Mitsubishi l300 frankia camper 😉
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s probably going to be over 3.5t but our plans are to set this up in a field for hire until we’ve recouped enough money on it then we may consider getting it on the road.
@gerrylaidler14923 жыл бұрын
Lower the benches!!!!!! There is a "correct" height for seats,chairs etc. Just sayin.
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
They’re a regular chair height, we measured several household chairs before building. Lucy’s very small lol. Just sayin ;)

There's a lot of 'biggus dickus' in this video. Was 'da' (me being fake racist) black (not racist) cat called Biggus (Dickus)? I wouldn't be too worried about leg circulation, I can think of more critical areas... 🤣 Will the kitchen have an Arga... only joking. 😳🤫
@FromRustToRoadtrip3 жыл бұрын
😂😂😂 Yeah you’re very right, leg circulation isn’t the worse problem there, as you find out when trying to stand up to leave!
