Other people have commented on watching "The Story of One Sky" (probably his most amazing masterpiece up to date and definitely something you should recommend to your pal Black Pegasus or even watch together), but if videography is the point here, these five official videos are amazing too: "Know" filmed on the black sand beaches of Iceland, "Be we me" to watch a really different side of Dimash, "Akkuym (my swan)" filmed with really good skill, the "Love of Tired Swans" with all the symbolism and choreographies and the absolutely beautiful "Omir Oter" (not to be mistaken with "Omir", which is also a very good video by Dimash with lots of short clips about his life). 👉 Dimash's broken, delicately breathy voice, a simple melody with uncomplcated pop rhythm (reminiscent a bit of 'I Miss You'), loving, sad but also comforting words and haunting images... and this adorable smile from Dimash... tears flow over my smiling face. For me, the lyrics, the pop beat and the images of the video all go together very well: They were just happy. But then Dimash leaves his beloved because she tells him that there is someone else. Dimash has no idea that his beloved is being blackmailed by a secret police officer and wants to protect him. He thinks she doesn't love him anymore. Dimash assures her that everything is “okay”. He accepts and she should too. Life goes on and the pain will subside. It seems easy for him to give up on his love. (pop beat, almost like a fast heartbeat)...but you can hear the pain in Dimash's voice. Both are fooling themselves. The secret police officer who wants to possess the young woman wants to catch Dimash and get him out of the way. When he finally realizes that the young woman will never love him, he gives her the “choice”. She flees with Dimash... A shot is fired... End? It leaves us stunned. What will happen? You brood and brood, but you can't get it out of your head. For whom is the glass always half full and for whom is it always half empty? ... Fascinating, clever ... great! Director Alina Veripia was blown away when she learned she was to create the story and video for Dimash's new song. Dimash also chose Alina's favorite from 4 stories: A beautiful and deep love story set in the years of Stalin's repression. This love is so deep, pure and immortal, It defies the horror, the fear, the penetrating cold and darkness of this time. The video was recorded in color but looks black and white, very dark, spookey. Only the lovers are shown in a bright, sun-drenched, warm, gold-bronze setting. These scenarios reinforce the intense feelings emanating from Dimash's breathy, delicate voice and the haunting, magical and beguiling, but also from the frightening and disturbing images. The location was St. Petersburg, appropriate to the dark year 1937 in which the video takes place. The same director and director of photography also worked on The Story of One Sky which Dimash wrote both the music and the screenplay for. Apart from Screaming which was his first ever professional MV and was not within his control, his music videos are cinematic masterpieces, all with a well written storyline that goes perfectly with the song.

Joey, "Okay" isn't one of my favorite songs from Dimash, but the MV is beautiful. It's not often that we get the pleasure of seeing Dimash's music videos professionally analyzed. Dimash spends a fortune on his official MVs, and *all* of them are movies. As an independent artist it all comes out of his own pocket, and since there's little return on investment, it's a labor of love. Other deluxe official MVs from Dimash that you would love for the videography are: "Golden" (1.6M views, 2 years ago), "Be With Me" (2.8M views, 2 years ago) "Know" (2.1M views, 4 years ago), "Love of Tired Swans" (7.4M views, 4 years ago) and his own cinematic masterpiece, reported to be the most expensive music video ever made, "The Story of One Sky" (3.6M views, 1 year ago). "Golden" is heavily copyrighted, and I've not seen anyone get past the copyright police on that one, but as a professional videographer, it's worth watching on your own. The others seem to have randomly applied copyrights, but they usually go through with transparency filters.

LOL😂😏🤣Loved watching you geek out over Dimash MV's. They are all exquisite. I especially love "The love of Tired Swans" and the odd and stark "Know" shot in Iceland. Of couse as mini movies, Golden, Be With Me, Together, and The Story of One Sky all showcase Dimash's obsession with perfection.😂😅😏 Dimash will be releasing a new music video involving Vampires to go with his new song released at the Hong Kong Concert a few days ago. So glad to see a professional music videographer react to Dimash’s MV!❤ Dimash’s first MV was Screaming, which I thought at the time was pretty good. The Chinese Dears however trashed it, complaining about the low budget that went into it. Then, Dimash became very involved in MV productions and next we got famous Ukrainian video producer Alan Badoev churning out The Love of Tired Swans and Know. That’s when I saw the difference between an OK MV and a great one. He followed immediately with Akkuym/My Swan. Then Dimash became interested in directing as well. He actually directed Qairan Elim! He is right to move into this direction because some songs that didn’t click with me at first have now become favorites after seeing their MVs. Okay is one of them. So are Golden and Be with Me. The crowning masterpiece is The Story of One Sky, which I call a musical mini movie or short film. Right now Dimash has released the teaser of his next MV. It has a weird vampire vibe, and I’m guessing it’s for the song Smoke which he premiered at his Hong Kong concert four days ago. Meanwhile he has also released simpler videos which he calls “mood videos” (don’t know if it’s an industry term), and I love the one for Omir (Life), which is a self-review of his own life dedicated to his fans. I missed mentioned Omir Oter. Looking forward to your thoughts!

Dimash voice is very soothing and beautiful!! Alina Veripia, the director of the video, said “This is a very beautiful and deep love story that takes place during the years of Stalin’s repressions. In this horror, in this piercing cold, in this crime, the love of two people is born, as if they did not come from this world. And they are so pure, so beautiful in their feelings, that no darkness can extinguish this light. And you will understand what I’m talking about when you watch the clip." The Original scuttlebutt was he acted the death scene so well. That the crew were left in tears😭 That’s why the CUT‼️ I think the Lyrics were clear enough to say it’s “OKAY” to LOVE AGAIN. The director of this MV also directed The Story of One Sky, which is Dimash's 14 minute epic MV, the song itself is 10 minutes long. FYI, Dimash "dies" in this MV, behind the scene footage shows you that, but its in Russian or else I would tell you to go watch it. Dimash's MVs tend to be consistently flawless. Be With Me MV is fun one (Dimash wanted an action MV after his 2 dramatic MVs, Know and Love of Tired Swans)

This song doesn't show his wide range or vocal exercises, just this incredibly soft, breathy voice. I think that's a very good choice for this song. At first the song didn't appeal to me that much. I wasn't alone there. But together with the MV it is a masterpiece. It moved me incredibly. All his songs and especially the MV’s have a deeper meaning. I love this one so much. It’s one of my favorites. The MV is about the time during Stalin’s repression in 1937. Back then, the secret police could do whatever they wanted. I think this officer for some reason was looking for Dimash’s character and then forced his girlfriend into some kind of relationship. Maybe that's why she had to end the relationship with Dimash without telling him the reason to protect him. She had to endure it to protect the love of her life. So he had to accept her decision without knowing that she still loved him. The official, realizing that she never stopped loving Dimash's character, ended everything in his own way. The video was shot to the end, but the scene at the end where he dies in her arms was left out. As for the song, I actually like it better without the vocal acrobatics. We all know what Dimash is capable of vocally and I find that breathy, deeply sad voice really fitting. The MV really moved me deeply. There is a backstage video of Dimash collapsing in the arms of that girl😭. OMG he’s such a great actor too. An older MV, Love Of Tired Swans is absolutely incredible, it won MV of the year in Russia! Of course the much more recent MV is Dimash’s own composition, he also wrote the script and is one of the 3 main characters, extremely powerful visually, emotionally and the message, and that message is Dimash’s message for the world ❤.

@@joeesparks7 I do too, that's why Dimash is my favorite vocalist ❤ Dimash debuted 2 new songs at his Hong Kong concert a few days ago. Videos only exist from fancams filmed with phones. As a Dimash completist I watched them, of course. But the audio quality is very poor. Dimash is making official MVs for both songs, having already released trailers. Expect them to show up on his official channel soon. There's a lot of excitement around these...they are his first songs and MVs produced in the USA 🔥
