In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Ohm", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches. If you want to know more about this video check out dimashnews. com Btw, Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰. He also gave a speech at the first Central Asian Media Forum, in which he once again strongly advocated peace. I heard this comment from others and wondered if it was even possible to be more powerful than the MV, but then I saw the Almaty performance. Dimash poured out his heart and soul through every fiber & cell in his being. It was gut wrenching to see his pain and desperation during his plea for peace, but also very effective in transmitting his strong feelings and message of how necessary peace is for all of us.

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. Dimash takes his revenge on his former friend. The new baby represented a new innocent life beginning as the father dies. (And he does die) also the mother died in childbirth. The baby grew up to be a leader of men who seek peace. He wore his parents necklace, to always remember. One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else I noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

This song is a "modern" multicultural interfaith Requiem (the traditional Requiem is a song for the Mass of the Dead in the Catholic Church. The best known requiem is by Mozart I think). The Requiem usually has 2 parts: one mourning death and the other celebrating life. Dimash says in a low voice: Адам керуен, өмір жол. Man is a caravan, life is a road. (Kazakh proverb) So for me, the caravan is his (and our) inner world. Religiosity is in us, the religious man dies when a part of the soldier (Dimash) dies when he finds his daughter dead. So when he seeks revenge, there's a storm. Death follows death: Piper dies but the soldier (Dimash) dies too. Death is not the answer. And so violence is not the way (You can murder the "bad guy" but if everybody thinks that violence is an answer, another "bad guy" will appear for sure.) And then we see that his son made a better decision... His son joins others in seeking peace. That is the final answer. Hug from Brazil 😍🇧🇷

More movie details: More details about the film: (1) The two boys competed for the girl's attention; (2) The character (who Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm the friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

Love Of Tired Swans is what I would suggest next, I believe that there is a lot that you will appreciate in that award winning MV. Dimash not only composed and acted in The Story Of One Sky, he also wrote the script, this is his vision, showing the innocence of children and then later how dramatically things can change. No one wins in war, the innocent victims, including those who have no choice, whether by order or to defend their family and others. The message is We’re Choosing Life❤😢. To be able to story-tell a song when performing, one must be a good actor and we could all certainly see that Dimash has that skill. But in this "movie", Dimash leaves us without a doubt what a great actor he truly is. This young man never stops to amaze me.

Dimash is heavily involved in both the acoustic elements and the visual for all of his videos. Creative with stellar talent and an amazing vision for the world. He has forayed into directing his own videos- I believe the first he directed was Quairan Elim (not sure of the spelling- it is in Kazakh). Well worth the watch. Thematically, Dimash is a cerebral artist with an amazing heart and philosophy for peace. He sings of peace, love, truth and understanding as well as respect for all of humanity. Congrats on the reaction! Well, some considerations: (1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya! (2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time); (3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). I also got the sense he was visualizing the story as he sang. It broke my heart when he sang tenderly and more quietly and bent forward as if he were comforting the little girl in the hallway as the armed soldier approached. It seemed he was feeling every second of this story on stage, which I suppose reflects how closely this song lived inside him during the three years it took to get it this ready for the public. It's a masterpiece, and I appreciate it every time a reactor and fans help spread it to new people.

Is i an not a technical person i was just crying all the way through jn the second part. And that cry "We are choosing life" just gives you the shivers down you spine. 👉 That is the grandiose and impressive result of three years of compositional work by Dimash Qudaibergen. This clip is not about war, it’s about peace. War here is a means of expressing the contrast of what happens when we lose love for one another. It is about the call to unite, to stop dividing each other along national, social, religious lines in order to preserve life, love, friendship, and the land for our children. Story: The clip is divided into several parts. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he almost drowns. The three children are friends and their common external symbol is the necklace (gnomon). Both boys are in love with the girl. But she chooses “Dimash”. The other boy feels hurt. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow hand of a sundial, which served as a nautical compass in ancient times. This symbol is upside down on the uniforms. (That's not how it works.) It's war. The children are grown and the two boys have parted ways. Dimash's childhood friend has become the country's president/general and mercilessly follows his twisted ideology. As an antagonist (Piper - based on the “Pied Piper of Hamelin”), he carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give freedom to the world. A world where every city, every home is one. We accompany everyone who is ready to start this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. I choose freedom. I'm glad you pointed out his acting skills too as people tend to get so lost in the story that they don't even mention it. He wrote both the music and the screenplay for this too. It was filmed on location in Russia for the war scenes and Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan for the pilgrimage scenes. Not too sure where the water scene was filmed but there are shots of Dimash dressed in the soldiers uniform dangling his feet off a rubber dinghy surrounded by divers already in the water. You should do Qairan Elim next. This was one done during the pandemic so Dimash had to get his hands even dirtier by working as director and cameraman too.

When Dimash was shot in the chest, he was "drowning" in his own blood as he was dying.. Maybe in his final moments, he remembered the time he almost drowned as a kid, hence the ocean again...and the other thing he remembered was his first and last love who died at the same time as he did while giving birth to their second child..who grew up to be a leader for united peace ❤

Dimash wrote the screenplay and composed the Music. At the end that is the child of Dimash and his wife grown up leading the religious leaders forward. You had the general idea correct. Here is the full description: This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. Even if we resist, as the adult Dimash character does, we often employ the same methods and weaponry as the Piper, and thus those who fight back betray peace as well because peace cannot be won through violence. That is the dilemma of those of us who did not start the war, who do not support the war, but are forced to respond in order to defend ourselves and those we love. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. Dimash's vocalization and the pilgrims representing world religions and religious leaders, past and present, walking together shift the narrative toward the final conflict and finally redemption. When Dimash’s character decides to avenge the murder of his daughter, his state of consciousness is reflected in the darkening sky with lightning bolts of anger accompanying the storm of his emotions that buffets the pilgrims and hinder progress. The fog of war obscures the light. When he is killed after exacting retribution, he is dropped back into the "sacred womb" of Earth, the ocean of love and mercy, and is cleansed of the old hatreds and grievances that only bring more death and suffering. He breaks the wheel of endless war and suffering by choosing life. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. His soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. We don’t have to wait. We can start right now. As the hymn tells us: "Let there peace in the world, and let it begin with me." Baraka Bashad.

The profiled person, is Dimash, so you are correct. Most reactors have no idea that it's him, but I guess as a film director yourself, you understand where the main lead should be. I think this the first time I have ever wrote this, your voice was too soft. The video volume was nice and loud but your commentary was so soft, I put captions on to see what you were saying. LOL. Okay was the same director as this video. Its much shorter, but still a great song/MV. He has quite a number of MVs from other directors as well, Love of Tired Swans and Know are directed by the same person. Omir Oter is a beautiful video. Golden is quite the MV and Be With Me is fun. Of course Dimash has mood videos too, which I think he calls them mood videos because there is no set storyline. The songs are Zhalyn (Flame) and Omir (Life). The 'backwards 4" is actually the thing on the top of a sexton or a sundial that creates the shadow that tells the time on the dial. The ending Dimash, is the baby grown up.

It is the pointer part of a sundial (the gnomon). It would have been mounted on top of a maritime compass, so the gnomon served its purpose when it was illuminated by the light to mark the passage of time. The compass pointed the direction the bearer should head. There is symbolism layered on symbolism here.

Hi Joe! Thank you for your sincere reaction, you have the plot figured out until the end, great job! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😢 Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. “People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony. Director Alina Veripya spoke about creating the music video for the new song: the clip is divided into several parts. The first is about childhood. The main character, two friends linked by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in these children's story, where the boys love one girl and she chooses one. The second goes through a kind of psychological The disintegration and transformation of children's problems into an adult world of totalitarianism and struggle.
