Huge thanks to Dallas and the Traction eRag crew for this opportunity. Want to come up and hang out with me in this same area while improving your off road riding skills? Check out www.tractionerag.com/xtadvdork for details on the event we're running at the end of the summer!

That epilogue really does say it all. You can accomplish anything as long as the squad's behind you. If everyone's positive and supportive and willing to help you it feels a million times easier even if it's still hard

Hey Man, this was awesome!, I think getting out there and doing the thing is what counts. I am sure most of us could be fitter, and for the guys with the time to be in the best of shape, congratulations! And the rest of us will keep doing what we can!!

Great to see you outside your comfort zone and having a go. Attitude is a big part, for the most you were staying relaxed but when you keep telling yourself "you aren't enjoying this" then your anxiety increases you won't have a good time. I ride a lot of hard enduro and my friends and I approach it with the attitudes that it is supposed to test and challenge us. If we ride it ok, then it's too easy. We are supposed to get stuck and even fall down. That attitude allows us to have a ball even when things are pear shaped, the bike is upside down and we are utterly exhausted. Try not to be negative on yourself, you are doing something outside your comfort zone and skill level. It may not be hard for many but for you, this is hard enduro. So relax, accept it is hard, embrace the challenge and stop putting yourself down with negative thoughts. You did great. 👍👍👍

I freakin been loving these videos! And I actually enjoy listening to you talk to yourself while riding! It reminds me so much of myself, and it’s just freakin hilarious. I knew you were going to say, from here on out, everything you do will be a walk in the park. That’s probably a good feeling eh? A feeling of accomplishment?

Damn dude props to you for getting through it. I hear my inner monologue and frustration when you are talking to yourself through the rough stuff. I find myself wondering why I'm even out riding some days when it's all just stress and anxiety. But it's good to remember that it's a learning experience and pays off later, which is a perspective I forget to have sometimes. Thanks for putting this together.

My man! I feel exactly the same. Inner monologue and frustration sounds just like this - but it's inspiring to know I'm not alone, and that those negative thoughts don't have to stop me!!

Hi Ben I Thank you for what you do. I have done trails like this when I was in my twenties but you have just reassured me that this is not what I want to be doing at age 73 LOL I some times I think I want to do single track. So thanks for putting a stop to that crazy thought prosses. Two track will do just fine.

You should go out to some extremely hard trails on a Rokon. No one on KZbin is covering them. But they'll go anywhere. You could have done your whole ride with a foot of snow on the ground and still made it.

Take it from 50years ex, like I teach my lady doing tricky trails, “Don’t get into your own head” if you approach something it’s not impossible until your stuck, not before.

Ben! Impressive - as usual! Q: What has prepared you most for getting through the more difficult trails? Just seat in the saddle and facing your fears or the classes you've taken?
@DorkintheRoad3 ай бұрын
Kind of all of it? The training helps a lot but seat time is also key.

Dude you could use some help on some basics on weight shift and lifting the front end. Those log crossings should be second nature, and that skill translates to wet roots, sudden cross ditches obstacles etc.
@scottrussell66463 ай бұрын
What is the stabilizer you are using? These videos look more like video games. There's no real ride feeling. You're just floating over the trail, feeling no bumps.

Dorks next video series about cross training and diet.. how dangerous motorcycle riding can be when your fitness is not up to the task..Dork will get negative feedback from manufacturers because they are selling the burly dream of middle aged guys riding mud, mountains and single track w ease because of something Honda,KTM or Yamaha engineered magic into the bike..if you buy and want to use your dual sport correctly..get a jump rope and gym membership..Dork should get Strava data and heart rate monitor!!!

I don't think he really cares or understands how much easier everything would be if he was 100 lbs lighter. He will pay for that weight as he gets older.
@DorkintheRoad3 ай бұрын
I feel like some people really miss the point of the channel. You don't need to tell me I need to lose weight like I somehow don't know that. The WHOLE point is that you don't have to be in perfect shape or be the most skilled rider on earth to get out and have fun on a motorcycle. Should people of questionable fitness levels do multi-day rides of this difficulty? Maybe not. Is it possible? Well if I can do it, anyone can.
