As a Brig main, to the question of "Is it standard to constantly swing for no reason as Brig?" it actually isn't for no reason! I have gotten countless kills because some enemy flank that's trying to run away ends up rounding the wrong corner, or a retreating Winston jumps over me, and I just get a random surprise kill. A single swing can mean life or death for an enemy and if you walk around swinging 24/7 sometimes you get a nice surprise.

I'm a Brig main with over 800 hours on her and I think "constantly swing" is very bad advice for your average Brig player. With your shield up, you have better visuals of your surroundings (you can use your shield to peek corners due to the 3rd person camera), you can ping without worrying, you can instablock a Sombra hack, you wont die to a random Hanzo/Widow/etc shot and the enemy has to go around you to actually do anything putting them in a bad spot as long as your positioning is good. Obviously don't JUST shield, use it according to the current situation in the game. There's just WAY too many negatives to constantly having your shield down and constantly swinging around doing nothing. Not to mention, any smart Sombra is going to hack/virus/shoot from outside of Brig's attack radius. Shutting down her ability to hack means you can close the distance and force her to retreat. Besides, learning to shield dance is a MUST for anyone looking to play Brig at a higher elo. Constantly swinging is not going to teach you how to do that.

@@GummyDinosaursify It's all about positioning and context. If you're behind cover, swinging is good. And of course you take into account the enemy's team comp as well. You saw how good this person was at flicking their shield for that DVa bomb. I think they played their Brig extremely well considering their rank. The main thing I would've liked to see is counter-bashing Doom when he was in the backline.

Hello this is Lagalicious, I wanna say thanks for watching my vod and I am glad that my description made people laugh. So one of the main concerns that I came here to address is someone said it was ai now this insults my very being. These years of consuming media and cultivating my cringe self was not so that someone can call my writing ai. I kinda don’t like that there were a couple of points where they wasted shield and then ended up dying because they didn’t have shield when they needed it. I also found it odd that when Doom ulted, they didn’t keep a look out for where they landed as a precaution. Other than that, they played pretty well compared to their team

Well, unless the supports are mercy-lw, they can always help secure a kill. Like, one anti-nade is often enough and doesn't take that much aim tbh. I got a game as Ram recently when I was nervous after the previous game and ended up punching the air a lot of times. This was purely on me and quite embarrassing honestly but thanks to my supps who weren't just spectating a mile back, we won.

@@Iscoileachme difference there is, you were probably doing far more then you think in being a threat and making space as well as your dps were likely holding their own, as gm kiri main I'm aware support can dps, but when literally Noone else kills anything you will be hard pressed to get through, blaming anyone in your team is just a sure way to lose, focus on your gameplay and unless your supports are legit doing 0 healing, you will probably be just fine🤣

Hey Emongg, her inspire, when it is activated, is just a one time pulse that if it hits nearby friendlies it heals them no matter their distance or line of sight to you for the duration following. So Briggite doesn't have the cool down to show, its just a one time pulse from her.

Her inspire isn't a duration on her, it is a one time pulse that goes out from her at the time of damage and when it hits friendlies they are inspired for the duration and healed. So it would only glow right at the moment of damage. Most people don't understand how inspire works, I just learned this.

With the current mechanics of inspire it would have to be an indicator on allies who currently have an inspire on them. Which feels like it might get a little cluttered for a 4 second duration buff that you're trying to keep up as much as you can on the whole team.

Positioning really is the thing for them to work on. Also reaction time (they’d go to flail an enemy that was long gone/dead already) but they’re a solid Plat with decent ability on Brig one of the best Supports to climb on. If they found a good Ana/Juno duo they’d easily climb to Diamond in a few days.

A way to show that inspire is procced is like lucios aura, give an aura thing that goes out from brig to the border when you procc it, you will see alot of aura going out from her if you play right, but at least your team can see you are doing stuff, and maybe they move closer too for heals

i remember one game i was playing support with my duo, and we were doing a great job healing and assisting our team . Things were going pretty much well for our team that the enemy team was struggling a bit until suddenly 1 of our dps decided to throw himself off the map and then type " gg trash heals in chat " when we had more dmg and heals than the other team supps , the other dps and tank didn't even agree with him cuz they knew we were doing our job well , and the funny part we were still dominating despite lacking 1 dps player , luckily the enemy tank realized what is happening and decided to go afk so that it can be a fair match, we rolled his team so fast and won :D

If I understood correctly that's because we didn't cap a point, but they kinda didn't do much to help us do that. I wathced the replay, they just rolled back, couldn't kill Lucio and just died. I feel like some people think heals and immortality are the same thing If you really wanna see if your supports aren't healing just stand behind cover in their line of sight If you end up healing with the passive more often than them then it's a heal diff But other than that if you don't want to die then don't stand out somewhere you can die while your supports heal you back up to a reasonable amount
