Yes I was aware Gage (who I love) has a series like this. He does the "This AWFUL Card Was GOOD?" videos and I love those. But is it realistic for him to be the *ONLY* person ever on KZbin to do a discussion on a card that was once meta but isnt anymore ? Snowman eater (as well as mecha bunny) was perfect with the trap card ceasefire as you can get the effect off since it’s not a “Flip:” monster.

With the power of Hindsight, this card is actually quite good on HERO decks on Tengu and even Edison formats. Also, while synchros weren't common, due to Veiler many decks could have access to Trishula, Stardust Dragon and Brionne.

Hahaha! Snowman Eater I always liked him, he used to have good synergy with Debris Dragon but he wasn't quite as good as King of the Swamp in Synchro hero. Bare in mind hero decks back then did actually use Poly at 2 and Miracle at 3 and holy fuck was it fun.

God I played during all these metas. I don't miss some of these cards at all, but to be honest the meta is still disgustingly broken it's doubtful it'll get any better anyway. I miss skill drain though lol, would be so broken at unlimited these days. Best floodgate ever. During this meta man eater bug was popular too lol. I enjoy this segment for sure it's nice to reminisce about some of these metas. I never did anything worthy back then still haven't but it's bc of how I play. Thanks for the share.

September 2012, no mention of Chaos Dragons. The other deck you really didn't want to set this card against. Just because of how quickly the deck would set stuff into the graveyard anyway. Besides, what Chaos Dragon player wouldn't want a free REDMD by crashing Lightpulsar into it? Or why wouldn't they banish it with BLS like they would Sangan?

MegaCapitalG okay, glad we're talking about the same format. Dragons Collide Structure Deck: released February 7th, 2012 (this is what made the deck reality) Future Fusion banned: September 2012. (this is the move that killed the deck) The deck made a huge splash at YCS Chicago, Philadelphia, Tolouse (France, the deck took first place there), and even at NAWCS for March 2012, and was one of the best decks to play during that time. Kinda noteworthy if you ask me. And because of this deck, a lot of people didn't just throw down Sangan and hope for the best.

This comment was not meant to bring on hate. But to enlighten as to another threat to the one card the discussion was based around. A threat that, nowadays unfortunately, nobody pays attention to. People brush this deck under the rug because it wasn't Inzektors or Dino Rabbit (which got hit hard with the priority loss), or Wind-Ups (which lost a lot of steam mid way through for some reason).

I feel like Konami is losing its touch of the yugioh series. It's getting to the point where decks are getting so fast and monotoned where damn near everyone only plays the newest decks. Konami used to put style and heart into they're deck designs, now they are all the same for the most part. At this point they are just creating the same deck but with different names for extra money. No style or fun anymore.
