You still haven't done any classic 4 seasons. This is from 1975. You haven't heard anything yet in terms of Frankie's falsetto. You have to listen to the 1960s stuff back before the Beatles. In fact they were one of the biggest acts in the country by the time the Beatles hit our shores. You've really got to check out "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Walk Like A Man", "Candy Girl", "Dawn", and "Rag Doll". The falsettos in those songs set the bar for all the falsettos in pop music that came after including the Bee Gees.

I was thinking the same. Hell, one wasn't even Frankie Valli singing lead. Those 60s 4 Seasons songs are much better than this later stuff.

They will just assume that all Fours Seasons sound like this Disco version of them from the 70s and then be disappointed with how they sounded when they first came out. This channel is the only one I subscribe to that always starts in the wrong place with all artists and then gets disappointed because all that artists songs don't sound like the ones they heard previously.

@@theodoreritola7641 Yeah, I love the 60's Frankie/4 Seasons... but their 70's stuff is where it's at as far as I'm concerned. Those are all great bubble-gum pop songs and they have their place, but there's no soul in them like there is in the 70's stuff.

Hey I'm probably the biggest Frankie Valli fan on the planet but he cannot hit the falsetto. He lost his falsetto in the late 80s although his voice was always still great. I saw him in 1990 and he could not hit the high note but he adjusted by working around that but his voice was still great and he sounded fantastic his voice was still very strong but it's understandable how you lose that falsetto for some people when they get older.

It sounds like they are parading him out there with him lip-synching as close as he can to drain as much cash out of him as they can. There’s a recent video of him trying to move his lips as close to the recording as he can, and he’s struggling. No 90 year old can do that.

Jay and Amber, Who Loves You was a huge 1975 comeback hit for The Four Seasons, not long after Frankie Valli staged a comeback of his own with My Eyes Adored You. The Four Seasons followed it up with their last number one hit December 1963 (Oh What A Night). My favorite from the comeback album was Silver Star, which is a far cry from their early 60s hits. Frankie Valli would have one more #1 hit in 1978: Grease, written by Barry Gibb, from the smash hit film. All are worth a listen.

Interesting fact: Don Ciccone (co-lead and backing vocals, electric rhythm guitar) was the original lead vocal on the song when the demo was cut and pitched to Warner Bros. Valli was in Europe and was unavailable, so they had Ciccone sing the lead vocals. Warner Bros. loved it and declared Ciccone to be the new lead singer and released the album. Valli wasn't having it and pushed back and stopped the release and then re-recorded the lead vocals that you just heard. You can find the demo with Ciccone on lead vocals on YT.

I was a kid (in the 70s, you are right Amber 😄), so I didn't recognise the title, but as soon as it started playing, I KNEW the song - & I remembered loving it - (maybe because I wasn't much older than a baby at the time, & a girl baby at that.) It was always a lovely, comforting song. Because of my age when this was out, I didn't actually realise that it was Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Even back then I knew Frankie Valli's voice as it was so distinctive. It just wasn't the focus in this song as it was in so many of the others. Here his part is just a part in a larger whole that has a lot of singers & a much stronger instrumental focus. I am going to be adding it to one of my playlists as soon as I finish here. THANK-YOU for this reminder of a piece of my childhood comfort.

This video is 1975, That is the year they released this song. I will never forget the first time hearing this song, late summer of 75 near the American River in the Sacramento outskirts with my two buddies and 3 sisters we met a few weeks earlier Labor Day weekend at Calaveras Big Trees National Park. We were all between 15 and 19 and partying that night with a little booze and some good weed, The sisters snuck out around midnight hoped in my 66 Stang and we partied together until 6 in the morning when we brought them back home in Carmichael. This song came on when cranking my stereo in my 66 Mustang in the wee hours of the morning listening to FM in California and I will never forget that song and that night. This is such a cool song, Every time I hear it it brings back the memories of myself, Jeff, Brent and the girls, Debbie, Linda and Teresa and that wonderful night of the mid 70s.

Amber, you are right It's not the 60s". This song was released in 1975. Except for Frankie, this is actually a different line up of band members as opposed to the original Four Seasons of the 60s. In fact, That drummer, Gary Polci was briefly married to Frankie's daughter, Antonia. He sings the lead vocals on their hit song, "Oh What A Night". Oh, and yes, there are lots of buttons undone, lol. 😄 (the 70s).

OMG. You finally played it. I've been asking for 2 years. Thank you. And there are many more from Frankie Valli and the four seasons. I hope you get to them too.

This one was released in 1975, as Disco was exploding in popularity. This one had a very dance-able beat. The Four Seasons here were replacements for the original 60's lineup, although this was written and produced by Bob Gaudio, musical partner of Valli, and the main songwriter that was the original keyboardist/writer for the Four Seasons.

One of my favorite Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons songs. The layers, the cascading vocals from Frankie, Oh My!! Funny, Amber rates the decade by how many buttons are undone by the men, hahahaha!! 😂Thanks, Jay & Amber!! ❤🧡

Love this song and have always loved Frankie Valli's voice! Gorgeous harmonies. I am not sure if you two have listened to the theme song to the movie, Grease, on this channel but since you are such huge Bee Gees fans - it's a must listen and such a great vibe. I know you watched the movie together on your movie channel - so I'm sure you know the song. But definitely worth an official listen on "Rob Squad Reactions"! With Frankie's awesome falsetto voice and the Bee Gees song DNA - you will LOVE IT!

I was fortunate enough to see Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons live not too long ago on one of their regular visits to the UK. All I can say is Frankie's still got it. I've also seen Jersey Boys twice on Broadway. It's with out a doubt, the best stage show I've ever seen. As you Americans say, it was awesome!

This is the music that brought us together. The music that made the sun brighter. It was the music we could actually dance with each other and it made love bloom. I grew up under this and Motown. The world never should have let this go. IMO

My favorite part of this song is the great background vocals. And the way emthe music and intro vocals go from faint to louder. Sets us up for a great listen. I do love their early stuff as I was a young child, but I was a teen when this was released and appreciated their ability to adapt their sound through the years. If you've never watched their biographical movie, Jersey Boys! you should put it on deck for your movie night. Blessings ❤
