I keep seeing all the rocks that you have left over from the dirt just thinking out loud you could use cob to rock the outside of your dome home or use lime mortar to rock the outside with time the lime takes in so much carbon and it can take in water and let it go slowly just thinking out loud be happy be safe be blessed

Love it- The Roof opening is getting smaller and smaller. about seven or eight more layers. Was wondering if you could make your own earth paint. Screen some of your soil really fine- and then mix it with some water and clear acrylic to spray on a coating for the dome. would a bentonite clay make a good coating? Thinking once a year you patch up and then using a paint sprayer with a nozzle tip for big thick paint- just spray some clay back on the dome surface. you could jury rig a mixing paddle in the bucket to keep the clay suspended as you sprayed it.

I bet the feather-footed bird is appreciating the cooler weather. My last bird purchase from Tractor Supply turned out well. Out of my six $.50 birds... I have one Bantam Brahma Silkie Rooster, Two Langshans (a male/female Pair), and three more New Hampshires. They won't be ready to lay eggs until the Spring, but my older purchase of six New Hampshires are now coming into egg laying age. They are supposed to like laying in winter.
