These are definitely the old 1st class seats. I took a 1st class 777 last month & it had the closed doors. The food was awesome & such polite staff. Thank god I'm small bc I had soooo much room.

Thanks! Given the First Class section was not exactly crowded, I wasn't bothered by the lack of doors at the end. Even the old First Class seat/bed is still a bit wider and more comfortable than even the new Club World Suite.

An upgrade is nice, though I would have preferred a door for more privacy. I've noticed that beef served near the beginning of a flight is often quite good, but later in the flight it's likely to be overcooked, dry and tough.

I thought the same as first, but after experiencing it, the First Class bed is wider and you do get more space overall, so I am not gonna complain about it. Re beef, maybe sitting at row 1 and getting served first was what made the beef much more tender! Thanks for your comment.

They do this on the Caribbean run if not operating a First Service. Ive had it down to Grenada twice. Its business service but First cabin. Always appricate the extra room 🙂 Full First on BA is a solid product. Concorde Room is worth a stop of a couple of hours 🥂😎😂

But we haven't missed out on a visit to Concorde Room, have we? Because even though we'd been moved to First Class, the boarding pass still said Club World, so I don't think we could have got into CCR based on that.

@@KenTravels360 No, you need a First ticket for Concorde Room. My recommendation for Club Lounge is head to the B gates. Its much quieter and better service overall.

Your seat is not the club world seat it’s the first class seat. Heloooooo. But the first class is a lot more comfortable- softer. British Airways is doing a lot of this on some of its routes if they have a full flight club world they will place the gold Members into first class with a club world service I personally think it’s great as it’s just happened to me.

Don't overlook the fact that this is a triple 7 with the oldest first class seats. This is the weakest first class hard product on the BA fleet and is, itself, being replaced with a suite with a door. Whilst they don't have doors (yet?), the existing first class cabins on BA A380s - and particularly the 787s - are far superior. The soft product is also a considerable step up from Club - not least the access to the Concorde lounge at Heathrow
