In my opinion, you did exactly what you’re supposed to do when birds fly out like that………wait unless you get a layup (which is unlikely since they’re leaving, not decoying). If they like it well enough to congregate on it, they’ll usually come back at some point in smaller, easier to hunt groups. Nice 👍

That happens to me when we are hunting wood ducks on flooded corn! There are so many ducks everywhere that you can't figure out when to shoot because you are so overwhelmed. It is a great feeling to have that many ducks that close!!!

That was fun stuff Josh! I've been in that same situation... first morning flight where it was hard to pick out any single bird because of the storm of birds flying at you. Great job being patient and picking out what you wanted to shoot. Seams like there's always that one bird that just does it's own thing. Thanks for sharing... can't wait to see what;s next.

What state are you hunting out of? I’m in NC, really wanting to get into kayak duck hunting and duck hunting in general from watching your videos. I’ve got a perception outlaw 11.5 and that would be great for it. Hoping you’re in NC and can help me find some spots and help me learn!

I know he needs to get her out there hunting my dog is one year old and has retrieved over 300 birds this year
@OutdoorLimits2 жыл бұрын
Kora will be out there next year. She’s not ready yet. I’ve taken her out a couple of times this past week and she isn’t where I need her to be. She will retrieve and handle but sitting in the blind and staying steady is a struggle for her. She has some growing up to do and some more training to cover. She’s 100 pounds of dog in 45 pounds of body and it’s a lot to handle for her and me.
@ann2des2 жыл бұрын
My dog is just a little bigger than yours mine is a yellow female and has tons of drive but is also steady and will handle like a three year old dog so I guess I just got it lucky with the beat dog I ever could have asked for
