Paddy, love how you speak your mind for us who do not possess the athletic and mental endurance of a ultra marathoner but with a grand ambition to challenge ourselves until we’re actually doing it and then we realize that we should have trained harder to prepare so we wouldn’t suffer to the end. But then once completed, we’re so exhausted with painful reminder that we will train harder for the next challenge, which of course life get in the way and we repeat ourselves again, but happy we did it. Been there, now I just watch your videos in comfort. Keep it up.

I have been to many places in Asia ( India, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia. I visited Sri Lanka twice back in the late ‘90s. One of my favorite places. Yes, I hiked in a forest in Malaysia and leeches could sense your body and “jump” onto your flesh resulting to small streams of blood, Not enjoyable at all.

Paddy is back!.. followed through your entire 77 province in thailand with Dreamy....then i dropped of the radar for a while. I must say you certainly look all set to go... so far your srilanka trip was awesome, especially your candour.. your tuk tuk kinda reminds me of dreamy... Dreamy had his quirks too! hike was awesome especially the nature... weather wasnt perfect but i enjoyed it all the same.

As an outdoor advenyure guide in the Adirondack Mountains of NY (and beyond, here's a hint - boots should fit snugly, laces tight, no foot slipping inside on steep downhills....and if at all possible, break them in by wearing the boots and the sox you'll wear with them for a few days before your hike! Great hike Paddy and knowledgeable lizard - spotting guide!

Definitely need a pair of gators 🐊 to go with the boots. They’ll keep the leeches off your ankles. Also should you step into a boggy bit, they stop the water/ mud getting into your boots. 😁
