That paddic may be very handy for corralling the dogs. Also you need some shade in there that could be permanent shelter, your free range chickens might like it too. you could isolate your breeding male goat as well. A couple more paddics would also be useful but build your house first.

Good episode Guys! You've probably finished the container roof by now but if not try pre-building roof panels on the ground and lifting into place. That way the kids can be involved in their construction. A tractor, 10 each 5' x 8' roof panels, a base frame anchored to container, a few 2' uprights ... and Bob's your uncle. Cheers and best wishes.

Hi, love your fencing work. May I add.... if you don't cover the tops of your open ended posts, rain will collect at the base(concreted in), and eventually the post will rot. A metal cap, is produced by the manufacturer ( I think). Just saying...

Hello there! I am an oldie (82). Can't get out much. Watching programs like yours helps my love of getting out into nature, engineering things and so on. I haven't money to help you, but my thoughts on some things might help you (or may not), but l can try. You are doing a tremendous job. No need to apologise for anything. I enjoy hearing the chickens talk. I had animals when l was a child, and used to have conversations with my "tooka tookas" as l called them. Since childhood, l have been interested in conservation, wise agricultural practices and so on. l have watched a number of your videos, and have some thoughts. Hi stick welders don’t need the rust removed wind doesn’t affect them , a bit harder to get use to , much quicker, straining mesh if you place the clamp a few ft before the post instead of after you can cut away the roll of wire strip back all the strands and tie them off with only the Ratchet strap in your way easier, quicker! I’m not knocking your work but I’m 70 , used every welder made and installed miles of fencing . Love the show , you pair are keener than me . Cheers

hopes this helps: instead of dancing around the ant hills, pour boiling water in them and it usually wipes out the whole colony. 2nd-the fencing you're putting up is really nice but goats will destroy it eventually by climbing up on it. you might want to put a single hot wire a couple feet off the ground on the inside. it will save your fence. you might have to lower the fence to 1 foot. best of luck. by the way--enjoy your projects.
@TinyShinyHome6 ай бұрын
Boiling water does nothing to these fire ants unfortunately. Haven't found anyone locally that knows how to actually kill them. The fence isn't going to be destroyed by mini nubian and nigerian dwarf goats. Maybe full sized ones would mess it up, but it's the perfect size for them.
