Josh, I'm not a pilot. I've never flown a plane before but I am a huge aviation enthusiast. I had my first ride in a small plane when I was very young. I loved it. I'm not sure why your channel came onto my KZbin must watch list, but I am so glad that it did. I have watched them all. Your trip to Alaska made me go out and buy a 4K tv so I could watch the Prince Edward Sound trip in all of it's splendor. It did not disappoint!!!! In fact, I've watched it a number of times! I have enjoyed all of your videos and anxiously await the next one. I can't think of anybody else that deserved that spot at the Garmin booth at Oshkosh! Truly awesome!!!!! Can't wait to see the next video! Hopefully all of your fans will get to see what we all think needs to happen!!!!! Congratulations on a great channel and I do apologize for the long post!

I'm disappointed I didn't get to swing by and meet you and Chelsea at one of the meet and greets. I was stuck in the booth working but did get some time during lunch to swing by the Garmin booth and stick my head in 80991. It was surreal seeing inside in person when i've spent hours seeing it on screen. The panel was amazing.

Josh, having worked in a checklist-centric job within the USAF for almost 44 years and a new CFI/CFII, I have taken from your content an increased appreciation of checklist discipline using your detailed methodology. It is more than just the "do a step, get a banana" that I learned years ago. I also appreciate and use all of your notepad formats in my flying and flight instruction. Keep the content coming! I have had an interest in aviation from a very young age. Would love to have got my PPL, but due to cost, then health and finally old age I never got down to it, so, the next best thing was Microsoft Flight Sim. The default airfield in those days was Merrill C. Meigs Field. I spent many hours just flying between Meigs Field, Chicago-O'hare and Chicago Midway before realising I had the whole World to fly in. The latest version of Microsoft Flight Sim. did not have Meigs Field in it, so when Z Design Studios produced Merrill C. Meigs Field for MSFS 2020, I bought it. I have just completed an around the World flight (8th May 23 to 19th Aug 23 181 Airports) And I had to make Merrill C. Meigs Field one of the Airports. Another Great Vlog from the pair of you. I love your flight adventures. Thanks. Dave M.

I really enjoy all your videos and always look forward to them. Although I'm no longer a current pilot, as you mentioned, I learned to fly in a 172 back in 1979. I owned a Piper Archer for a few years as part of a business venture while I was punting for the Denver Broncos. Eventually moved away form flying and sold the Archer. FYI - if your first Oshkosh was in 2013, this year is your 11th time attending.

Agreed, there are two aspects to “social” and “media”. Content creators with a basic level of psychological awareness should know that there are many like me who are more on the introverted side, and we really like just your “media” content. We introverts might have been attending Airventure more times than years that you’ve been alive… we’ve camped in Scholler for decades while exposing our wife and kid to the greatest show on earth, then we flew our PPGs for years down “on the farm” while camping on the grass strip by the ultralights, and recently we’re flying to Airventure in our VANS RVs and camping in HBC… alone, and still very much enjoying the show with hundreds of thousands of other EAAers without much socializing at all beyond the one or two people we’ve seen before, or the occasional group breakfast or airplane type dinner. We like your “media” content and ya, we put up with the “social” content. 😉 Your “media” content is fantastic though and we are flying everywhere, from the far north and west, to the deep to south, to many of the spots that you go to, and we really appreciate all the tips coming from that side of the social media spectrum that you post. So keep it up. And thanks.

Got to fly some of that same shore line in Chicago only thing is I got to take off from Navy Pier to do it. Okay I was in a Chicago Fire Helo at the time so got to also fly over downtown as well as out over the lake a little ways out. Was doing planning for a state medical team so the birds eye view was a big help and a ton of fun. Our driver out to there was a Chicago firefighter and we got to make his day because he had never got to fly in their helicopter so we asked for him to go with us

Question when you did the Chicago sky line 11:40 parts of that looks like you were beyond gliding distance from land I'm sure its just the optics of the camera that makes it look like it however the parts of land that look accessible to you didn't really have landing distance so they wouldn't be much good in an emergency. So question is where you beyond landing distance and if so how come no life jackets?

Not part of the video but im curious… do the GPS’s you use actually route you around military airspace and city airspace? Or is that your job to preplan and map out no fly zones?? Also. So glad you guys had a great Oshkosh! Hard work pays off it seems. Does the US have a concept of a listening squawk? Europe have had overworked controllers for years and constantly looking for ways to ease their workload without having to pay for more controllers! Not sure thats such a good idea but some areas in US seem to be heading that way too by all accounts. Some of the things Europe are doing may be applicable?

Awesome video as always ! Question..... When are you going to put pants on your Cessna ?
@borenkd Жыл бұрын
It had pants on it years ago, but they removed them because they were going to need to be rebuilt. The pants also reduced useful load in the aircraft and makes grass landings more of a hassle.
