@bernardowens16485 ай бұрын
The windows being partially open is one of two things; either the windows switch is out of sinc with the motors and needs to be reset. Depending on the manufacturer, the process is simple and involves having a good battery, lowering the window and once down, hold the window switch in the down position for 8 to 10 seconds. Then release the switch from the down position and then raise the window and hold the switch in the up position. Once all the way up continue to hold the window switch in the up position also for 8 to 10 seconds then release the switch. If the doors are close, the windows should remain all the way up. If this doesn't remedy the windows problem then chances are there's a safety switch with the folding roof that has gone bad. When released from the up & locked position, all of the power windows should lower approximately one inch to allow room for all of the systems involved in folding and stowing the hardtop roof in the trunk.
@ciberzero355 ай бұрын
Exactly. Amazingly, very few people know about the simple window reset. In most cases, it is due to a rough battery replacement. In Europe, some brands charge up to 300 euros if you take your car in for service for such a trivial issue. If it's related to the electrical wiring, a car like that isn't worth the repair.
@kuchenblechmafiagmbh13812 ай бұрын
On these modern coupés and convertibles with power windows and "missing" upper frame you can also watch that they automatically open just a little bit when you open the door (I'm sure that the roof has kind of a double-lip seal and when you close the door it raises the window again to push it against the seal.
@JachuJustyDriverАй бұрын
I've learnt that procedure with the first, of the three French Cars that I've owned :D. My problem was the door wiring, that broke and caused my automatic window de-calibration. Then I've learnt that it's applicable in most euro cars :)

I can confirm Mitch precautions. If the paintcoat have chips or deep scratches it's a very risky to use pressure waterpump nozzle so close to coating surfaces. I have seen to myself how a bits of paintcoat go away staying only primer after it or even bare metal. And don't even think to clean this way a vehicle if you being known that the surface were repaired with putty. In this case risk to see your vehicle body naked increase in several times.

Maybe it was there to reduce paint damage originally, but yuck what a mess to deal with. I knew the Goo gone was coming, how else would you remove that adhesive. That was a prestigious amount of trash inside. The AC car lighter adapter was cracking me up. That extractor pour!!! My morning coffee isn't that dark. 🤣 Not sure when this was filmed, but you're workouts are really working, and you have a tan line where your shades were. Good for you!!!
