Toward end of swell, i think it was WED/THU i checked the regular beachbreak (elporto) and guys were charging. You'd think just closeouts, but no, some corners to be had. Glassy and big, just gotta pick your corner, and you score. Much respect to anyone who can endure out there long enough, to pick off a good one. #LAonfire

I learned to surf back in 84 at Huntington beach. I ended up on a ten foot tanker board and loved it. One day the guy who taught me asked if I wanted to go to the Wedge, I hesitated, but in the end, went. Using a boogie board I rode three waves and survived. The waves break in very shallow water, and you can get pile driven into the sand. My friend rode 7 or 8 and he did okay, but boy was he battered and bruised by the end of the day. Watching this video makes me long for the summer of 84. I think I will watch "The Endless Summer" now :)

@@BradJacobson thanks for the quick reply or a reply even at that. It’s nice to see people take a little time in their busy Schedules to answer some questions and I’m not being sarcastic I know how much time it takes to film and edit, so as a gift back to you I have an idea it’s not very unique at all and I am sure you already thought of it so I am just here to add a little catalyst to your program. Here goes how about a film showing some incredible wipeouts but with the extra footage of how they survive afterwards. For example the guy that ate it in front or ontop of the rocks or jetty, how about show him after he pops up gasping for air and showing his position throughout the chaos. Just a thought my friend I would be very interested in that. Hope your not getting to much grief from some of the lower intellects in our sport. Peace BJ
