Reviews like this make it seem like the good reviews are paid for. I mean the food didnt look so bad and no comment was made on the fact that £18 is really cheap for the variety of food. Seen the google reviews and theyre mostly positive. Did the place really deserve such sarcastic/negative comment?

To be honest, sometimes I think I just can’t win. When I love a place it’s because I was paid for it and when a hate a place is because I wasn’t paid. The fact is every single review I’ve ever done is completely completely honest and I’m not going to agree with everyone and I don’t expect everyone to agree with me, I’m just sharing my experience with you.

We have been to Slice of India as well, and only good thing there was the space and environment. None of the food there I had was nice. Honestly, I liked all the other buffet places in Birmingham or Manchester, so I do not keep high hopes but still returned very unsatisfied.

​@@HEYMANFOODREVIEWS tbh the Derby food scene is lacking. There are spots with good items - but nowhere that does great everything. My personal favourites. Live the pizza at Delizias - but always ask for a thin base. I feel the standard one is too stodgy. MKz do the best smash burgers and donner loaded fries. Another good burger place is burgerific. They do these NY style sandwiches too. Nice chicken loaded fries. Desi Dera on Normanton Rd do a great chicken karahi (not a fan of the lamb), chicken boti reminds me of Pakistan. Maher grill have a lovely mix grill. Al mehrab do a great desi breakfast. Monmos do nice food too. Like the kebabs and the fried cod. Peri Peri chicken is decent, burgers not so much. Chilli Flames do nice chicken. Like I said some nice places, some good individual items - but I don't think the market is competing with the Bradford, Manchester, Birmingham, Leicester scene.

So this looks like a Indian buffet rather than a traditional Pakistani one what you get in up here in Manchester So that why there are more veg options Also as it’s more Indian, the puri you got is the India version that’s called batura or suma like that,that’s why the texture is abit different to our Pakistani puri My best buffet is al Maida in Manchester
