What sort of conversations are the coaches having with their teams in a game like this? What kind of situation warrants a timeout? I've always felt in the dark about what ends up being discussed. Is it super macro? Would the coach call out a specific player? Just giving them some positive affirmations? Idk.

anything that the team needs (hopefully) - sometimes a chance to stay grounded and not get ahead of themselves, sometimes to bring up spirits when they're down, sometimes to ice the enemy, sometimes to give input of a play that could work after losing a few rounds in a row, sometimes to tell a specific individual to pay attention to something as a cue / tell from the other team, etc.
