I own this watch and its shockingly gorgeous. I'm not a huge fan of tactical type looks, but citizen absolutely owns with this one. Citizen has come out swinging this year, and I've purchased 4 this year alone. Prior purchase to this one was the Promaster Land Chrono CB5921-59X with green dial. That one is another looker and I get quite a lot of compliments on that one, the way the sun hits that emerald green dial is so nice. Great video and its time more people show Citizen love...Ciao

I generally have zero desire for these tactical, “I could have been a SEAL if I wanted to” type of watches, but this one is super cool. More importantly I keep forgetting about the Zenshin Watches. Off to the internet I go! Thanks for the great review!

I love these Promaster Land watches. Everything I want in a watch. I love, love, LOVE the ana-digi display... the solar power... the 200m WR....the inner compass bezel. How can you go wrong??

I was really interested in this watch, until I noticed, in this video, that the hour and minute hand are not independently driven. That's disappointing, as sometimes they will have to shift out of the way of the digital screen.

Good review. How long do Ec0-drive watches last compared to simple quartz or mechanical? At what pont might they break down, assuming normal use?

This is a great watch, I bought the standard one on the rubber band, there is another one on a bracelet with a blue dial. The green cordura band is great but fewer adjustment holes, so I went with the rubber one. Is more confortable in the cold weather than the bracelet. Great companion to my GWG-B1000-3AER green mudmaster. Can you make a video with the other new released promaster geo trekker?

What function does the Compass outer ring have besides just being able to rotate it? It doesn't make any sense to me. You've got to have a pointer pointing North for the Compass outer ring to have any use? Correct me if I'm wrong?

Google for how to use analog watch as compass. Rotating ring does help for that process.

I have two Arnie's and I was hoping someone would release an ana/digi with MIP display like the Promaster Land. I really like this Citizen and I see Jomashop has the regular versions for $419, which I think is good. MSRP is a little high IMO.

@ramakrishnanramki9115 Jomashop is a gray market vendor that is very legitimate. You will not get the OEM warranty, but they do have their own warranty. Their prices are almost always lower than an AD, but if you want the factory warranty, you will have to pay more.

I would prefer the display at 6 and 12 on top. But it is definitely a great watch. My older version still works fine and I have also a Casio Pro Trek that is more then 20 years old and still doing great. They are too good to replace them for new one's every couple of years.

I wish you'd have tKen 10 seconds and shown how to set the time on the Land. I got one through your link and, although i think im at least just as smart as the average bear, i cant figure out how to set the time, and im not a buge fan of just pushing buttons if i really don't have a feeling about which button to push. And the Citizen support/instruction page doesn't exist. Thank you for your content/help.

Nice digital display that offers a point of difference to most displays. Was going to get one. Saw three versions. Changed my mind after I noted that each version suffered from a common problem with quartz movements these days - the seconds hand does not line up with all of the sixty second indexes on the dial. There are significant portions of the dial where the seconds hand doesn't land exactly on the seconds indexes. On some parts they do, on others they don't. This is annoying, and is a reason to avoid quartz and go for automatics.

Isn’t that because you are observing it from some angle different than 90 and because of distance from second hand to dial? Because hand positions can be calibrated by hand, so if second hand is a bit off, you can set it during calibration process.

I don’t know what to believe, everyone else says it’s really hard to use and understand. Also what are the “tons” of features? It has nothing out of the ordinary, it’s just harder to get to each complication to make you believe it’s complicated, complicated in a good way even though it’s actually complicated in a bad way…

Have and much prefer the Steel and Rubber edition (with black bezel). The Camo dial makes it a tad busy to me. The Steel with bracelet edition is only in Blue dial, and the Green dial does nothing for me.

My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MAMACOO and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.

My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO

Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."
