They definitely need to incorporate water "spray" physics. The water has a sort of "oily" weight to it that feels a little unnatural when it falls back onto itself.

Very cool but you can see how it behaves more like an oil that doesn't immediately mix back into itself when disturbed. When the white foam reaches the end of its trail it does so unnaturally and almost layers over the body of water rather than dispersing and mixing back into itself. Not sure if that description might help you solve whatever it tasks to achieve this but I'm excited for the future of motion graphics! We are so close to completely simulating reality.

Your work looks fantastic. Still sorry to hear that you've had the same problems (using blender simulations) to make it work. I make that assumption based on my interaction with that. It's maybe better now, but I tried to make a simulation of the waterfall about a year ago and in the end switched to Houdini (for this project) to just make it work.

Thanks! Thats just blender sims however, I was told that this is the general standard for quality fluid sims and that blenders mantaflow systems are lacking.

This is without a doubt the best water render I've ever seen, ybut you can still tell that it is cg based off how the water orbs seperate from themselves, especially towards the end of the video.

Thank you! I think the makers of Embergen have me beaten though with their liquidgen software, this took a day to bake and render. However the domain was set and scaled wrong so it ruined the immersion. Thank you however!
