These are the type of people who are proud of themselves that scammed someone out of something at the expense of others. What's troubling is the the entire wedding party was in on it and willingly went along with this. The Photographer was probably a family friend or relative because this couple was probably too cheap to hire a professional. These people are the same type as those bargain hunting brides who want me be discount my talent 25% to shoot their wedding so they can honeymoon in Tuscany. I don't do discounts - EVER!

Tempting but unfortunately that second wrong doesn't make a right. Better to call the police and complain about them making a public nuissance. It may be hard on the couple but I'm sure the original idea was theirs so they should accept a good portion of the blame. That being said I 100% agree with Vanessa that the photographer should have refused to go along with this.

This is completely wrong! Whoever was the driving force behind it was completely in the wrong. The wedding party are lucky the staff took the steps they did, other places may not be as courteous. Bit of a shame they were afraid to take steps to kick them.out due to potential reactions. Anyone using a private space for a wedding/event needs to arrange it in advance, this is unacceptable behaviour by those involved in the wedding!
@LGS_Inc7 ай бұрын
That whole situation is hilarious. I can’t believe that the couple thought it was OK to do that in the first place. The staff should’ve told them to leave regardless, that’s kind of an L on their part. Better choices could have been made on both sides 🤷🏻♂️

Story time: Years ago I worked maintenance for an apartment company. One tenant requested a repair in their apartment hallway, so I let myself in after getting their permission. Doing this repair meant kneeling down low on the ground. The lights were dim and I didn't pay attention to the kids' toys on the floor. After a few minutes I have to reach and grab a tool, and found something --- silicone-y. I looked and saw a glittery device that was NOT A CHILDREN'S TOY. They never got me flowers, either.

Obviously this wasn’t spontaneous. They must have planned and scouted the place thinking it’s fun and whimsical buts it’s not. When it impacts people outside their circle, it’s just plain wrong. I heard about this story. It was, without a doubt, incredibly inconsiderate of the couple to do this. Performing a popup wedding in a park is one thing but in a busy coffee shop, while ordering staff around, leaving stuff everywhere and re-ranging the place is quite another. Personally I don't think the photographer involved was a professional. Most professional photographers would have enough sense to not be involved in something like this, would not block a business entrance and would go through the right channels for a permit. That and the fact that the bride felt that the $500 fee was too much makes me think the photographer involved was has having one of those " I'm doing it for the exposure moments". Hopefully anyone considering a popup wedding will hear this story and consider the impact their wedding may have on others.

a couple thoughts so people can breath, and sleep at night. 1. I don't think that photographer was a professional. Professionals know better. If they, apparently, didnt even have the money to rent a place, there's NO WAY they paid for a professional photographer. 2. Don't lose your hope on society, people. This was one loser couple, not a trend. And while I hope they did pay for what they did...I actually hope they also "pay" for what they did. I feel as if even they "reimburse" the business, they still stole. And stealing.....has consequences. This is not a situation where you get off "scot free" and it's "better to ask for forgiveness than permission".

This is good education as far as finding out for even newbie photographers, who have good editing skills that may not know that they need to find out if there is a permit involved where they would be shooting. Now attitude towards a business worker that's one thing that professional or not you just should not do especially if you know you're blocking customers. Didn't sucks I know I bet that people not even with a visiting radius of this coffee shop attacked that couple in their inbox. I bet somebody shamed her on her image, the husband's image, maybe a death threat, or other forms of threats. Because that's what people do, thumb warriors who come attack people even if they don't affect your sleep.
