this video give me confident that we can shot wedding videos. despite some people said "we need fullframe camera"

The best camera is the one in your hands. Sure full frames have their benefits but if you can use lighting to your advantage you’re gonna be fine.

in 99% of the case u dont need ff equipment, i had an a7iv and stepped down to an a6400 with better glas. You cant spot the difference, also you have software to compensate in post. My back is also happy, my apsc setup doesnt even weight half of my old FF system. :D

All you need is the skills to properly use the tools at hand. I have used, for the last 7 years, a camera hosting a 8×13 mm sensor (nicknamed "1 inch" sensor), for photos and videos. But this Sony RX10M4 is a jewel of an all-in-one camera ! Many questionned me about which camera I had, and refused to believe me when I showed it to them. Then, they had to... because I had no other one. It has changed a bit since last year, when I got the Sony FX30 to widen my possibilities. And it was more than positive. Still I have the RX10M4 as my B camera or when I need action photographs (it offers bursts of 25 fps and an equivalent 600 mm). You could ask my clients, they would gladly say they like those images. But time zones are not on par, so... 😉

Looks great man, I would have never guessed and that's from someone that owns a a6400 and a ZV-e10. Granted I've never tried to shoot a wedding with either of them as my A cam. I was giving the a6400 to my second shooter before I bought a second A74. Their footage never looked awesome, but I also was having them shoot SLOG2 and that's easy to mess up with an 8bit camera. Were you shooting HLG2?
@RaphealPersaud
@RaphealPersaud 2 жыл бұрын
Yea man, you can get really good stuff out of any camera really. It comes down to exposure composition and white balance imo. There's so many things I could improve on though. the PP for this is slog2 with sgamut3.cine

The camera struggled on those indoor first dance shots but the ceremony and outdoor shots were excellent - how many batteries did you go through during this shoot? Debating on returning my a6400 to go with something that has better battery life. Could barely get through 1200 shots at the state fair with my kids last weekend.
@RaphealPersaud
@RaphealPersaud 4 ай бұрын
I think 4 batteries however this was shot in 1080 so 4K is probably worse. It sounds like you know what you need. I’d return the 6400 and get something else.

Happy new year to you as well! I use a Godox ML60 with a mini softbox. I like that I can power it with NPF batteries. I also use the Yongnuo 216 led lights as well.

@RaphealPersaud

Thanks Ariel. It’s one of the most sought after venues in Toronto. I used a 17-70 2.8 Tamron and a Rokinon 85mm T1.5 on a a73

I’m also curious about something else as I’m trying to build my business. Do most people get just a highlight film? Or in your case, is it usually a highlight and something else? Thanks!! Just trying to gauge what people want…
@RaphealPersaud
@RaphealPersaud 2 жыл бұрын
@@arielreyes001 That's a good question! So this couple was a last minute booking and just got a highlight video because they only booked me for 5 hours (hence no makeup and hair shots). Nowadays I try to give as much as I can without over exerting myself. So to answer your question, I give a highlight, ceremony, speeches and first dance. Anything else is usually extra.

Just one thing... let's be careful when naming this place "castle". I would invite anyone tempted to do so to have a trip in Asia or Europe. Just search for "Cité médiévale de Carcassonne", you shall understand why UNESCO ranked it. Same for Chambord, Fontainebleau, Roquetaillade, Henri IV's castle, Abbaye de Fontfroide, etc. A real castle is not just bunch of stones, piled up to a certain height, with a "fairytale" look to it. A castle has two or three, or seven, centuries of History... and "adventures" ! And not forgetting about how it was built : no cranes, no tractors, no helicopters, no motors. If you want to know more about this, follow the team at "Château de Guédelon". You'll quickly realise what it took to built a castle in the XVIIth century.

I received this camera as a gift from my mom like almost three years ago and it sits around collecting dust. I was wondering how could I put it to use because selling it would be wrong since it came from my mom as a present. I've only used it once in 2020. I just found this video from searching up a tutorial for the camera. I had no idea it could capture footage like this. I'm not a photographer or well versed in photography AT ALL. I only have the SELP-1650 lens, so I don't know if that's a good lens at all but either way thanks for this. This was a beautiful wedding and this is beautiful videography.

Ah man get some lenses and get out there! I've got a video in the works that loosely focuses on 6400 and it's benefits. But I recommend getting the Tamron 17-70 (same lens I used to shoot this wedding) as your first 'pro' lens: amzn.to/41QFbtE OR some of the Sigma apsc prime lenses, particularly the 56mm: amzn.to/430n31O ...actually shot this wedding with it!: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIKod4x9gqZoeNk

@RaphealPersaud
@RaphealPersaud 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! It depends on the look your going for. If you want a lot of movements in your shot, a RS3 Mini is a good choice but if you want a more timeless look then using a 85mm prime lens handheld would work too. Maybe I'll make a video on the entire topic.
