Boy...the YAK sounded awesome at full song! 💪 Looked like a couple close calls with the drone.

That was epic, the Yak is a beauty, good work on the maiden, gutted to see the Galloping Ghost go down. Another great session

Remember what I was saying about the upgraded motor for the ghost and how it wasn’t that much better? I was wrong… Much faster, I think I might have not put the right propeller

@@7demo7review that’s good to know. I probably won’t bother with upgrade. You guys have a great flying spot.

I´ll start to watch your gatherings on the evenings. Great production/cut! And your Yak11 flyes perfect! A colleague from the club had one a couple of weeks ago and it wouldn´t start straight. She did a good left turn after taking off full gas. That was the second time, but it was very old I think. So he wasted the foam. Just visually for me as a beginner he had a very small prop on. Just the tips would be wider than the fuselage. I think your prop is much bigger :D

Hi Jeff. Having some trouble with my yak 11. Crashed on landings in all first five flights. My cog is 5mm in front of the recommended. I find with half flaps it is squirelly at normal landing speed and pitches up easily when I try to flare. Landed faster on last flight but that ripped out the foam section holding one of the retracts and broke the cable off at retract servo. Have you got any flap elevator mix, as I have none and think that may be giving some nose up tendency on slow approaches. Any advice would help. I land other large ww2 fighters with no problems. Having the airplane to nose heavy can be a problem with landings… I have my Sg at exactly the recommended if not 3 mm aft. Do you remember if you cut throttle on your landings or kept throttle on until you touchdown? I would recommend keeping throttle on all the way till you land

By the way, I was using a 6000 mA battery pack

I don’t have any elevator mixing at all for this airplane. Also I didn’t find the half flap or full flap Squirrley at all… Very stable with no Gyro

@@7demo7review thanks. I am using a 4000mah all the way forward with 100g of lead on bottom of cowl. I did add some extra weight as I found it felt a but tail heavy with cog spot on. It is a lovely looking plane but in addition to my problem, a flap servo motor died yesterday. In the air it seems perfectly balanced....weird, and yes I land with power. I am fitting a new flap servo tomorrow so will let you know how it goes. Thanks for advice. Andy in uk.

My first flight I had my battery all the way forward, my second flight I moved it back by a quarter inch which seemed like it flew even better… I also have my elevator and ailerons on three position switches for rates, during landings I want to give myself more elevator authority and less aileron authority
