ah the nostalgia...I started EQ as my first MMO in about 1999, as a woodie ranger then almost immediately to an Iksar monk for the remainder of about 6 years, playing until Gates of Discord. I moved on to EQ2 and other newer games. I tried to go back for the nostalgia tour but the graphics haven't had another upgrade seemingly since Luclin and compared to current games they make me sad. Also the move to concentrate remaining players by having a unified starting city...you go back to Cabilis or Kelethin and it's so depressing as no one lives there except npcs and guards anymore. It's amazing to me that EQ keeps chugging along.

the starting cities were the soul of the game. You started as a young Wood Elf surrounded by other wood elves soaking in the lore and atmosphere and carried that forward into your game experience. My Iksar did so much faction work over the years, other than Paladin guilds I would move freely in the "good" cities but you could never again walk into Kelethin bank as an "evil" lizard and have people freak out about how are the guards not killing you! Sooo many muffins for Pandos...but no one would know now because everyone is from Jaggedpine Estates or whatever it's called.

The move is so clear. Why they aren’t doing anything about it I have no clue. We need EQ remake. Don’t change the game just update the original game with current decent graphics , basic updates to the UI , remove any and all cash shop , basically make it like day one but with modern UI and graphics and watch the servers explode.

Hi Fading - Love the show, but you kind of missed the biggest story of the last couple of weeks, which is the Slayer Mania created by the changes to the Banestrike ability announced after the latest patch. Everyone on my server (Xegony) is hurrying to get those done, old zones good for certain achieves are suddenly well-populated zones. Isn't that happening on your server?
