The event with the sports cars and motorcycles is called the Dragon's Tail. When my husband had a Corvette he had friends try and talk him into trying it. I know what you mean about mountain views. Hubby and I live in north central Indiana where it is flat. But we have a son that lives near Salt Lake City and the view there are just awesome.

The open air "church" is so gorgeous, they sometimes have services there and the sunrise service is WOW. Route 129 is known as the Tail of the Dragon. VERY popular with motorcyclists and sports car enthusiasts. People come from everywhere to ride it, and there are many accidents as well. Great trip you guys shared, but if you were going to Maryville, the locals will let you know it's MURville TN. Lol

When I was watching the packing up part of your video. It made me remember when we went to Hawaii, we went to the post office and got a couple of pre paid boxes for shipping stuff back home. It was relatively inexpensive and saved us having to deal with the luggage rigamarole. An idea that could maybe save you some room in the jeep..

The views take me back to younger days when my late husband and I traveled to Corbin Kentucky. We always seemed to hit Jellico Mountain in Tennessee in the morning when the fog was so thick you couldn't see past the front bumper of your car. I was always so terrified we would miss a curve and go over the mountain. Looks like you are both having a wonderful time.

I live a couple miles away from the road you took up to Pretty Place which is on the NC/SC border. I worked at the YMCA camp where the chapel is at for 20 years until I retired. I am now on social security and sell on Ebay. If you live here most of the jobs revolve around tourism with Pisgah National Forest, all the state parks and very popular with cyclists. Transylvania county gets a lot of visitors around Halloween. All the manufacturing plants in the area have closed so if you want a good paying job you have to go to other counties. I grew up in Fla. and like to visit Myrtle Beach and the water but I love my mountains and cooler weather more. Hope you had lots of luck with your thrifting and have safe travels back home.

Geez, I could hardly stand to walk through that cave with you-extremely claustrophobic! There is one more narrow & dark at Grandfather Mt., NC. Kayla, you were so pretty describing the scary weather. How can you be any prettier? Like your braids, too. Guess you know hail can be the sign of a tornado. Glad you're selling so well and like the way you organize everything. You don't have so much to do when you get home. Glad you've decided to keep a few pieces of jewelry for yourself. Jules, you "ain't" too bad yourself! Have fun and be safe. Cat
