I'm curious about the temperature at the time of recording. I know my springers suffer in cold weather. It's been in the single digits here the past few days. Well done review. New subscriber.

Most people use two hands to cock that rifle, make funny faces,toilet strain etc, but you make it so easy
@thebreakbarrelshow Жыл бұрын
Ha ha , u used to be an elite level powerlifter which definitely helps..lol.. most people prefer a silencer on gamos but personally i think they make it harder to cock.

335 yards with a Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 2 ?!? What kind of pellets, group size, and accuracy were you getting? How much fpe at point of impact? Thanks. Stay Safe. Be Well. GOD BLESS.
@thebreakbarrelshow Жыл бұрын
FX 25.4 gr.. a group wasn't attempted...... This time anyway.. FPE ? Can't be to high however at 400 yards it did go all the way through the plastic tide jug , @325 yards I used a20.06 gr FTT and it got stuck halfway on the backside..

@@thebreakbarrelshow That's very impressive!!! I didn't think that it was possible for a .22 pellet gun could be effectively used past 100 yards tops. I personally don't even attempt shots past 50 yards. The reason I asked about the fpe is because I primarily pest and hunt, and I'm curious to see if there is even any fpe to humanely harvest any small game at that distance. I would think that there isn't. Anyway, thanks for your prompt reply and video. Looking forward for more. Stay Safe. Be Well. GOD BLESS.

Ive always heard claims that gas pistons are not affected by temperature ?
@thebreakbarrelshow2 жыл бұрын
Actually the temperature does affect gas more than spring pistons. For example my Hatsan 130 s .30 cal at 80⁰ shots a 44.75 gr at 560 fps.. same pellet at 40⁰ shoots around 520-530 fps.. The spring pistons are affected too but , in my experience not as much.

Good review. Unfortunately I wouldn't waist my money on this especially a way overrated Gamo.Plus it's too slow for follow-up still. You can buy a Beeman pcp powered air rifle ,crosman or an Umarex for about the same price total. Ed da pro snippin air man 💥👇💪😱😱😱
@thebreakbarrelshow Жыл бұрын
I would have to disagree here. The follow up shots are as fast as what the shooter can do. This is a break barrel channel so pcp's arent in the equation. Crosman doesnt make anything comparable as far as power , trigger etc. plus their customer service is terrible . All of my Gamos have been great.

@@thebreakbarrelshow All the ones I have are in the junk pile. I do pest control every day. So they don't hold up long. The breech seals are bad design with a plastic breech block very bad poor design. The next thing is they have an oval shape scope stop hole! There's nothing on the planet to match a circle shape into a oval shape! Very poor! As for being fast, breakers are super slow to cock! Especially 48lbs cocking effort is what I mean. Some are few more lbs. I gave up on Gamo a while ago. You look at the breech block on a Benjamin or even a crosman, then look at the Gamo. You'll see I'm right as are many other professionals about them. They are mass produced and quality control is horrible with Gamo. Especially now times. I'm 💯 with ya. I only use pcp powered air rifles anymore. Followups are lightning fast on these! Effortlessly. For backup I do use a breaker when I run out of air or can't get to the source. I get 150 shots from my pcp per fill. You ain't breaking no barrel that many times! Plus follow-up is lightning fast! I trust crosman,Benjamin and Hatsan or a Weihrauch,RWS or Air Arms breaker only. Much better quality.
