Poke Tips, have you noticed in wild battles, when you send out your Pokémon sometimes it will do a little animation before starting the battle but most of the time it won’t. Does that signify anything? Example: when I send out my piplup sometimes it will lift one foot up and flap its wings but most of the time in a wild battle it won’t.

Yes I have see this same with my water starter did that but after he evolve this animation not here. 🤔

I believe that's just an extra little idle animation that plays randomly throughout the idle cycle for each Pokémon. I'll have it sometimes to where my Prinplup reaches down and pokes his foot, but it only happens occasionally as a break from the usual standing still.

That's actually really cool! I honestly also thought it was a glitch, or possibly the game just taking a long time to load a wild battle properly so the trainer close-up was a failsafe to keep the transition smooth. But I'm pleasantly surprised, thank you for spreading this information!

Yes but this also explains the encounter animation always popping up against them. I thought it triggered because they are legendary. Turns out a different reason.

This happened at least 5 or 6 times when I first started the game, it stopped happening when I got the first gym badge and it hasn't happened at all since, just got the 5th gym badge. Is this just an early game thing?

Since the game is a remake launched after ORAS, it should also have the DexNav feature which helps a lot while trying to catch pokemon with perfect IVs

Question:those random 2-best stat pokemon can also be found in the underground, but can you use the reset method to get it to avoid constantly find the boosted pokemon you want? I found a Gliger that came with the camera cutscene, but i failed to catch it. Fortunately i saved before the attempt and reset, strangely 1st reset ended up with the same encounter being normal so i reset the 2nd time and the cutscene happened again so that got me thinking that u can reset to find it maybe. no concrete info now but worth a try, let me know.

How is it subtle? It's extremely obvious that something different is happening and it happens rarely. Literally the first things that crossed my brain were "oh, i bet this indicates the pokemon is good or something, probably IVs. Either that or it's just random." I'm not a serious player, a competitive player, or any kind of hunter. This was absolutely as obvious as the game could be without a text box that says "Something is special about this pokemon!" It's like saying the sparkle animation is a subtle hint that the pokemon's colours are different, because they knew we'd be digging LOL

That they have a history of being so incompetent that the first thing that pops into their player base's minds upon seeing a new animation is "oh, the game is probably just so broken that it can't handle loading encounters correctly most of the time." It's actually fairly common (in relation to other random chance things in pokemon), so you either must have been just RUSHING through the game, hardly encountering anything, or just has the worst possible luck in the world. I've been shiny hunting Random Encounters since the game came out, and I see it fairly often.
