@nova_camova74513 жыл бұрын
If you have a Pokemon with the Synchronize ability in the front of your party then any Pokemon you encounter will be guaranteed to have the same nature as your Pokemon with Synchronize. Doing this with the desired nature will essentially let you skip step one of the breeding process and save a bit of time. If you're planning on breeding lots of Pokemon with specific natures then I would highly recommend catching lots of Ralts in the underground until you have one of every nature with Synchronize; allowing you to hand pick what natures the Pokemon you catch have. Being able to access your PC boxes anywhere makes this very convenient to do as well since it's so easy to swap them in and out of your party anytime you please. Also it's important to note that when you're in the underground the Pokemon's nature is decided upon entering the room; rather than when the Pokemon is encountered.

@@lachaim It's not possible to transfer the Synchronize ability to another Pokemon; or any ability for that matter. The only way I know of to change a Pokemon's ability is via an ability patch but that only works with hidden abilities and it can't transfer them onto a different Pokemon.

@clammyshellish2 жыл бұрын
Most of this makes sense and is great! But, why don’t we want a “Best” Sp. Attack IV?
@sun_mask4822 жыл бұрын
That is simply down to the Pokemon itself. The Gible evolution line have much higher physical attack stats than special attack stats. Therefore, you will only want to have physical attacking moves on your Gible because they will deal more damage. There isn't really a reason to get a maxed special attack Gible as it is unlikely you will use special attacks, so breeding one this way would usually be a waste of time. However, if you were to breed a special attacker, such as an Alakazam, you would instead try to get maxed special attack IVS as they are usually the only moves you will want to use on the pokemon. In the case of Alakazam, it would again be a waste of time to breed physical attack IVS, since you wouldn't want to use physical attacks anyway. Of course, there are also some pokemon that might have a mixed move set, with both physical and special attacks, so in that case it would be beneficial to get a flawless IV spread.

Thanks for the guide! I just have a few questions: How would the oval charm apply in this scenario? And what about hidden abilities? Do they appear on eggs or at least one parent has to possess it first, and does the parent gender matter for this? Please help thanks.
@Osirus3 жыл бұрын
The oval charm just helps the rate in which the old man will spawn eggs once parents are in the day care it’s not essential just helps speed things up also with hidden abilities as long as a parent Pokemon has one a hidden ability it has a chance to be passed down, hope this helps :)

I think this is slightly tougher with genderless pokemon, because they can only breed with Ditto, so even if you have a Ditto with a perfect IV in one stat, it will still likely randomise the other bad stats it has. Mostly a nuisance and takes longer, but I really do appreciate this guide nonetheless! Will definitely be easier with non-genderless mons in the future, compared to my Magnemite (which now has a 4 perfect IV spread all thanks to this method).

Ditto seems to be a non-starter for me. I've managed to breed 4 bidoof, each with 5 best IVs and I'm using the broad breeding capacity of bidoof to pass on those good IVs. I've tried to chain the ditto but the best I've gotten to was 28 and then a shellos turned up. Personally, I quite like the fact that breeding is a complete beast in BDSP but the probability of getting anything better than a 3 IV ditto is vanishingly small. Anyone who says they have a 5 or 6 IV ditto is a basically a cheat/hacker.

@@nicolevollmer9381 Yes, I was using repels, but they are not 100 percent reliable. I've now bred a range of 5 Best IVs across most egg groups, so the team are looking pretty good - it just took me 3 weeks longer than it would have in Sword and Shield.

When I started breeding I couldn’t get a ditto so I went the hard route and caught a male and female charmander and kept breeding them until I got 5/6 perfect ivs on the offspring

Does it matter which Pokémon holds the destiny not? Can I still get the majority of stats from the Pokémon who is not holding the destiny night or when it randomly gives you your stats does the majority come from the Pokémon that is holding the destiny not?

No it makes no difference which Pokemon holds the destiny knot it will always randomly select 5 IVs from both parents in the day care to the offspring hope that helps
