This soap is what I use to make my homemade laundry soap. A box of the flakes, a cup of Borax, and a cup of Super Washing soda can make a 5 gal bucket full of liquid soap. You only need a Tble spoon per load. 1 bucket full can last me a year.

Mom would shred this and blend Zote with Borax & Arm & Harmer Super Laundry Washing powder to wash our clothes. When I became an adult I switched to Tide. After I was laid off...to save $$, I went back to homemade soap. What a difference it makes to have a dryer and not have to line dry the clothes! They are cleaner and soft!

I've been making my own laundry soap for years. Here's the ratio, 1 finely shredded bar of zote, one box of washing soda, 1 box of baking soda. Mix, use only a teaspoon per load, no more then that. If you use white cleaning vinegar in your laundry as well, you don't need anything else to do your laundry, unless you want to use a stain fighter like oxi clean and shout.

@@ceezb5629what happens is that in English the name "Zote soap" has no other meaning than that, that of a soap named Zote by the company that produces it. But in Spanish there is something called “augmentative” which are, basically, suffixes that make the object we are referring to have a greater size or importance. By applying an augmentative to the word “jabón” it becomes “jabonzote”, which is pronounced exactly the same as “jabón Zote”. In short, “jabón Zote” is a play on words that implicitly refers to the fact that the soap in question is large.

I’m a mom of 3 toddlers and this soap is the only thing that removes stains and puts clothes looking new. Takes out grease, chocolate, avocado and blood out. But use it with hot water scrubbing (use a sponge) directly on the stain, when done scrubbing by hand toss into washing machine so machine removes all the soap out. I tried everything on the book to remove stains those expensive products and soaps and it was a huge hassle and they work but you have to put in the product I’ve and over again. Zote is the best shit.

So when it comes to modern washing machines you actually don’t want too much suds because they often don’t rinse out all the soap if there’s too much. You can end up with soap buildup which can be really irritating to skin.

What was wrong with the prison bar soap?
@sarahparkinson8844
@sarahparkinson8844 3 жыл бұрын
@@lela2216 it's hard to explain it was like unspoken rule for county city jail and state prison I'm not sure about how the men dealt with the soap. But it was really harsh on skin and really dried out the skin. And also didn't use the deodorant it made you stink I swear on everything I'm not sure how a company can make the a product for something and it does the exact opposite. It was called Bob Barker oh and the little shampoo they give you is clear so we would put orange peel in there to smell good and vitamins and use that as soap and just buy shampoo and conditioner VO5 or swave was the best price. Normal size of Pantine was 8$ ish in Marysville ohio women prison if anyone has any more questions please ask.
